A group of young BMX riders are confronted with the unexpected and violent death of Jonas, one of their friends. As 15-year-old Jesse is the only one to have witnessed the incident, they all look at him for answers. His inability to answer their questions gradually isolates Jesse. The grief for the loss of his best friend and the growing sense of loneliness stand in the way of Jesse’s search for comfort.

Violet is an intimate portrait of a teenager’s mourning process.
