Professional training and development in agriculture at an

advanced level require to integrate advanced sectoral

knowledge and apprenticeship within a professional context

representing a best practice for one ore more areas of enterprise

development.

Web 2.0 devices support interactive learning experiences which simulate real professional

practice situations.

Learners have the possibility to face a set of real complex

professional practice situations in a context of apprenticeship.

What we propose?A strategic intervention for supporting the:

-updating of the repertory of professional competences available in EU;

-development and formalisation of new LLL methodologies and approaches, in order to promote the acquisition and improvement of technical-professional competences and of transversal skills characterising the entrepreneurial profile;

-exploration and exploitation of the potentialities offered by the interactive virtual worlds for the construction of pathways of guided apprenticeship in entrepreneurial roles;

- development of an articulated educational and training pathway properly designed for the acquisition of managerial competences and entrepreneurial skills supported by innovative learning environments and materials making use of the most advanced and innovative Web 2.0 technologies and tools.Copyright

Virtual learning andEntrepreneurship trainingThe project has reconstructed a farm in virtual environment and the scenarios of enterprise management to be used as setting for an internship, sustaining virtual and experiential learning.

Two innovative learning activities are put on scene:

- Interaction with challenging problems of professional practice, through interactive video-machinimas.

- Simulations of activities and tasks of enterprise management and development in Virtual Farm.Copyright

Virtual Farm

Reproduction of the entire estate of Model Farm, the surrounding environment and characters.

A 3D environment, with a set of tools for business and cooperation, in a framework of computer-supported collaborative learning which allows a synchronous interaction among the users connected from different places and through their own Avatars.

V-3DAS – Video-Machinimas

3D Videos shot within V-Farm having as main characters the avatars who represent the management team

Farm management is dealt with in a narrative way,

through a sequence of episodes, showing

more and more complex problems of professional practice

and possible solutions

Learners are stimulated to interact with the story: they are

required to choose the most effective solution of the

problem shown, determining the progress or the regression of

Simulations in V-Farm

The learners become entrepreneurs of V-Farm

They experience situations of Farm Management and are asked to act as entrepreneurs/managers without any parachute

They are free to analyse data and information strewed in the V- FarmLike real entrepreneurs, they have to face and solve a problem, by strengthening their capacities of critical and creative thinking and problem solving

They learn to act as entrepreneurs within a concrete challenging situation

The pedagogical Tool-Box

Tool Box is a collection of pedagogical and operational guidelines for supporting trainers and teachers

VET operators will have a set of tools for supporting the implementation and delivery of training interventions addressed to agricultural entrepreneurs
