• Build a regional market platform that links smallholder farmers to grain buyers across Certified Warehouses and 12 Aggregation Centres in East Africa through a networked and structured market mechanism
• Utilize innovative technology to provide information on market opportunities, track goods, enhance transparency and connect buyers and sellers.
RESULTS• Farmers are able to receive electronic vouchers upon
commodity delivery to access inputs and services on credit which has led to increased productivity
• Participating banks have run credit scoring using transactional data provided by platform thus enabling farmers gain credit access
