CIRCULATION (C)ASE’s Council on Circulation & Vascular Ultrasound has put together a program that will provide attendees with an excellent overview, as well as advanced topics on vascular ultrasound of interest to the practicing cardiologist/sonographer.
EARLY CAREER (EC)This track has been designed specifically for fellows in training, and early career physicians and sonographers. The focus will be career development with sessions geared toward helping you effectively navigate the formative years of practice while maximizing the skills you have obtained during your training.
IMAGING ESSENTIALS (E)ASE’s Council on Cardiovascular Sonography has created this track to instruct practitioners on techniques of assessment and quantita-tion. There are disease-based sessions that will help you improve your skills in imaging, measurements and quantification in a variety of disease states. In addition, there are practical sessions on lab management, diastology, myocardial perfusion, strain, and 3D echo that you can incorporate into your lab when you return home.
INNOVATION/TECHNOLOGY (IT)The Innovation/Technology Track has been designed to communicate recent advances that improve quality. Topics include clinically-relevant innovations that improve diagnostic accuracy, quantification, and workflow; and breakthrough cutting-edge technologies that will be used for treating the patients of tomorrow.
ISCHEMIA (I)The Ischemia Track covers a diverse spectrum inclusive of obstructive and non-obstructive coronary diseases and stress echocardiography. Pericardial sessions have also been included. Sessions will address physiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and clinical management using echocardiography and multimodality imaging.
MYOCARDIUM/FUNCTION (M)The Myocardium/Function Track addresses the core and advanced competencies of pathologies involving the myocardium and provides an update about standards of care. Included in this track are sessions on cardio-oncology and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies.
PEDIATRIC/CONGENITAL (PC)ASE’s Council on Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease has created a program packed with cutting-edge science from fetus to adult that brings together cardiol-ogists, PhDs, engineers, and sonographers with the unifying goal of improving care for those with heart disease. The program will take you on a journey of using echo to predict, diagnose, and treat heart disease by reviewing current standards, learning from experts, and exposing you to what is on the horizon.
PERIOPERATIVE (P)The Perioperative Track, designed by ASE’s Council on Perioperative Echocardiography, brings together cardiac anesthesiologists, sonographers, cardiologists, and surgeons with the goal of sharing knowledge in cardiovascular care and perioperative/periprocedural echocardiography.
POINT OF CARE (POC)The Point of Care track focuses on this highly valuable modality that is of critical importance as healthcare practitioners become skilled in the use of point of care ultrasound.
SPECIAL SESSIONS (S)The 2020 Program Committee has designed the Special Sessions Track to introduce differ-ent learning formats to entertain and educate. Join us for the Episodes of Care, Echo and COVID, the Value Summit, and more.
VALVES (V)The Valve Track has been planned with the goal of bringing together the expertise of sonographers, cardiologists, cardiac anesthe-siologists, and surgeons to share knowledge in the diagnosis and management of patients with both simple and complex valvular heart disease. The sessions will highlight the role of the newer echocardiography modalities in managing patients with valvular diseases, present and future of percutaneous aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valve therapies, and an overview of structural imaging to comple-ment the perioperative track.
Sessions are identified with the following shapes to assist you in locating education aimed at your level of training.
