OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES OF VARIOUS COMMITTEE’S

1. GOVERNING BODY

Governing council of the Institute has been constituted as per norms of AICTE/ UGC.

It’s main function is to ensure that stakeholders including Students, faculty and

Institutional Management, as well as those from the wider society have full confidence

& trust in our Institution and all those who have governance responsibilities and

accountabilities, carry these out effectively.

Objectives :

1. Facilitate the activities of various committees with respect to their suggestions for

the improvement of learning environment of the Institute.

2. Ensure that the Institutional environment is Progressive & complying with all the

regularity requirements well in time.

3. Recommend management about the financial need of the Institute & future

expansion programmes in coordination with College Development Committee.

Duties :

1. Submit Long and Short term plan proposal to the Management and get it approval.

2. Ensure implementation of the submitted proposals in time.

3. Notify & rectify any noticeable observations needs timely rectification.

2. COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:

Objectives :

1. Ensure that the best learning environment is available in the institute provide quality

pharmacy education.

2. Ensure that the facility available in the institute meets the requirements of all the

concern regulatory authorities.

3. Facility available is sufficient for all-round development of the students and teachers.

Duties:

1. Prepare the budget and financial statement.

2. Recommend to the management the creation of the teaching and non-teaching

positions.

3. Formulate proposal of new expenditure not provided in the budget.

4. Consider and make recommendations on the inspection report, eg. PCI, LIC, and

AICTE.

5. Prepare the annual report on the work done by committee for the year ending on the

30th June every year.

6. Perform such other duties as and when required.

3. INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

(IQAC) Objective –

To ensure that the duties and responsibilities of staff, function of various committee

and are followed as per the institution approved guidelines on risk based approach.

Duties-

1. Ensure current year IQAC members list is circulated and put in notice board.

2. Audit all the departments functioning with respect to cleanliness, and improvement.

3. Inspect and find not any shortcoming and report alongwith corrective action plan.

4. Ensure that all the latest policies and procedures are followed in the department.

5. Check utilities are available and in place, check there are no safety issues in the

department

6. Ensure that the departments are continuously in process of improvement

7. Audit report is made within 24 Hrs. of the audit and corrective action high-lighted to

the management asap

8. Follow up the corrective action plan and close up the audit report, suggest measure for

the safely, development and maintenance of old college infrastructure to ensure optimal

use of the college resources, suggest measures to dispose of outdated and unusable

items

9. Review twice in year.

4. ANTI- RAGGING COMMITTEE

Objective:

To ensure the strict discipline is maintained in the cordial environment of educational

environment of the institutes.

Duties:

1. To ensure overall discipline is maintained in the college, hostel and canteens.

2. Initiate timely action against ragging occurrences.

3. Sensitise students about the evils of ragging and its prevention.

Duties:

1. Proper documentation of research data and record keeping at departmental level shall be

enforced by Head of Departments.

2. It will be per-requisite for faculty members/students to do IPR search while preparation of

projects/synopsis in order to generate quality research products.

3. Cooperate with the IPR Cell in completing intellectual property reports to funding agencies.

9. CULTURAL

COMMITTEE Objectives

1. To provide a platform for students to go beyond their academic quest and explore their

creative and artistic sensibilities.

2. Increase the interaction between collages/students/staff and their parents/guides &other

stake holder of the institution.

11. HOSTEL

COMMITTEE Objective:

To provide co-ordial living atmosphere in the hostel amongst students coming from

different place and culture.

Duties:

1. Check the working, discipline, cleanliness and all other aspects of general administration.

2. Frames the rules and regulations of the hostel from time to time.

3. To create an atmosphere of harmony and co-operation amongst the boarders.

4. To provide a peaceful and congenial environment to enable them to excel in their studies

and personality development.

5. Maintained the overall discipline in the hostel and mess.

6. Ensure all the utilities are in place.

12. Medicinal Garden Committee:

Objective:

1. To developed and maintain medicinal garden for pharmacognostic study of Medicinal

plant.

2. Ensure interaction between students and medicinal plant and improve plantation skill of

students.

3. Maintain of all plants of the Institute.

Duties :

1. Member secretary of Medicinal garden committee will insure that watering of the

plant are taking place regularly and will maintain record.

14 ADMISSION COMMITTEE

Objective:

Establish transparency in the admission process following Maharashtra State Government

centralised admission process.

Duties

1. Prepare the seat matrix in each combination and course and submit to DTE .

2. Display the availability of seats for CAP rounds.

3. Display the fee structure.

4. Coordinate with the Management, Principal, Staff and the Parents.

5. Follow the admission process as per the norms of the Maharashtra State Government

6. Ensure the smooth admission process without causing inordinate time delays.

15. INSTITUTIONAL ANIMAL ETHICAL COMMITTEE

(IAEC) Objectives:

The objective of IAEC is to ensure that animals are not subjected to unnecessary pains

or suffering before, during or after performance of experiments on them. Maintenance

of animal house keeping is hygienic conditions and fulfils all the requirements of

CPCSEA.

Duties:

1. To comply with the requirements of CPCSEA and ensure that the registration is

renewed in times.

2. Regular check-up of atmospheric conditions of the animal house with respect to

temperature, humidity, water supply, feeding, sanitation and housekeeping etc.

Objectives:

1. To make financial proposals for the improvement of quality in institute with respect to

research work, facility development, upgradation of facilities.

2. Make utilization of the funds available for scientific research, publications,

presentations and attending seminars.

3. Conduct scientific seminar in the institute at least once a year.

Duties:

1. Plan scientific research and finalize the project guide and staff for applying university

grant.

2. List the requirement for up gradation for the current academic year.

3. To ensure that funds if granted, are utilized within stipulated period of time.
