Details of Curriculum
At Vishwankar Public School Education is not learning of fact, but training of mind to think. VPS
believes that “A child mis educated is a child lost” and we aim to create the new student
community which should win everyone without defeating anyone.
The Nursery teaching broadly uses the Play Way Method to teach the curriculum. Through this
method, teachers facilitate students to understand basic concepts of language and numbers thus
giving them the first lessons in Life Skills. The Play Way Method is further reinforced by hands-on
activities conducted in and out of the classroom. Field Trips, Nature Walks, Celebrations of
Festivals, Topic-based Projects and Experiments form a regular and integral part of learning-
through-doing.
The school follows the CBSE curriculum from classes 1 to 5 and uses NCERT books from Grade 6

School annual report for the year 2018-19. The driving force behind academic success is undoubtedly, "education" and the
various academic skills acquired during the learning process. The academic year began with an additional section in Kindergarten and in Grade
I. An orientation programme was conducted for the Kindergarten and Grade 1
parents of the Preparatory, to help them get acquainted with the class routine.
We strive for excellence in everything we do. We provide a learning environment
that allows every student to thrive as an individual. Excellent performance is not an
exception but an expectation at High. We would like to touch base with some of the improvements in infrastructure and
facilities brought about in the past one year. We established a computer lab and
library to meet the requirements of our students.
INITIATIVES:
2018-19 to be the year of academic initiatives and Extra - curricular activities.
The art of being successful and reaching the pinnacle of success lies in facing competitions.

Olympiads a student gets an early exposure to competitive exams thus enabling
them to understand the exam structure, marking system, difficulty level and
competitive mind set required to do well.
This year the school has introduced silambam and karate for extracurricular
activities. This was an effort to promote the ancient martial art, fitness and tradition
among the children.
