TTSA Values and Vision
Discussion
Possible TTC Values and Vision
ValuesWe value each and every child and professional in our College. We are united through a framework of trust, altruism and collaboration in the pursuit of our vision.
VisionAs one we are dedicated to improving our profession and ourselves so that students of all abilities and backgrounds in our College receive an outstanding education.
Strategic Intent
• the leadership challenge of when to make a significant strategic change is as critical to success as choosing what strategic change to make. (Davies, 2005)
• Strategic intent allows an organization to plan in a turbulent environment with a broad understanding without the necessity to engage in obsessive detail in the planning process. A limited number of intents should be expressed in concrete terms and they should be seen as a ‘means of translating visions into actions. (Davies, 2003)
How are we doing & where are we now?
S.W.O.T analysis
• Achievement – CHa, GBy, MRo• Teaching and Learning – GLe, MMu, RRd• Behaviour and Ethos – JSh, CCo, Jsa
• In your group you have 5 mins to complete a SWOT analysis focusing on your KIP.
Strategic Intent examples
The difference we will make and the impact this will have:
• Achievement – There will be no gap between the achievement of PPI and non-PPI students so that all students have equality of opportunity
• Teaching and Learning – Eradicate lessons that are less than good so that all students receive an outstanding education.
• Behaviour and Ethos – Attendance for all groups of students is better than national average so that all students have equality of opportunity
Strategic Intent
• In your groups, look at each SWOT analysis
• On the back of the sheet come up with your core strategic intents
Next Leap Forward
three frogs sitting are on a lily pad: one frog decides to jump off - how many
are left?
The answer is three; deciding to do something and actually doing something are very different.
(Davies, 2011)
