Monday, October 7, 2013 / VENICE Arrival at the airport and travel to Piazza San Marco. Visit St. Mark’s, one of the most magnificent and important of Christian churches. Celebrate MASS in the Basilica. Hotel check in. (D)

Tuesday, October 8, 2013 / VENICECelebrate MASS at Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari a Franciscan Church built in 1330 and dedicated to the Assumption. Afterwards meet your local GUIDE and view the Bridge of Sighs, visit the Doges’ Palace and see much more in this special city. Free time to explore the city or take a gondola ride. (B) (D)

Thursday, October 10, 2013 / FLORENCE Meet your GUIDE for a tour of the Academy Gallery, see the famous statue of “David”, visit the Duomo of Santa Maria Del Fiore with the dome decorated with an immense Fresco of “The Last Judgment” and the church of Santa Croce and celebrate MASS. Friday, October 11, 2013 / FLORENCE / SIENATravel to Siena which is famous for a Eucharistic Miracle in the Church of St. Francis and the home of St. Catherine and St. Bernar-dine, a Franciscan, who was one of the Church’s greatest preach-ers. Celebrate MASS at the Church of St. Francis Xavier, which still houses “miraculous” Hosts, physically incorrupt and chemically pure. Meet your local GUIDE and visit the Church of St. Catherine where Christ appeared with his Blessed Mother and the whole court of heaven and handed Catherine a mystical ring as a sign of the espousal union. Her greatest claim to fame was in 1417 when she convinced the papacy to move back to Rome. Sunday, October 13, 2013 / SIENA / ASSISIDepart for Assisi and celebrate MASS in the Basilica of St. Francis. Visit the church seeing the frescoes depicting the life of this humble Saint. Take a walking tour of the city, visit-ing the major sites associated with St. Francis and St. Clare, including the Chiesa Nuova, built over the home of St. Francis’ family and the Church of San Rufino, with the baptismal font of the Saint. Monday, October14, 2013 / ASSISICelebrate MASS in the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in the lower city. You will see the diminutive Church of the Porzi-uncola, within the larger church. Also visit the rose garden. Visit the Church of St. Clare, where she lies in repose. See the original “San Damiano” crucifix that spoke to St. Francis, urging him to “Rebuild my Church”. St. Francis interpreted the dream literally and went to work repairing the building at San Damiano. (B) (D)

Tuesday, October 15, 2013/ ASSISI / ORVIETO / BOLSENA / ROMEDepart for the medieval city of Orvieto. Celebrate MASS in the Cathedral where they keep the Blood stained linen corpo-ral from the Eucharistic miracle which occurred in nearby Bolsena. You will have the opportunity to see the corporal. Proceed to Bolsena to the church of St. Christina and view the Blood stained floor from the miraculous Host. Continue to Rome for overnight. Check in to the HOTEL. (B) (D)

Wednesday, October 16, 2013 / ROMETransfer to St. Peter’s Square for the General Audience with the Holy Father (subject to Vatican schedule). Meet to visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major, the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary with gorgeous mosaic. Visit St. John Lateran and celebrate MASS. (B) (D)

Thursday, October 17, 2013 / ROMEA guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. And St. Peter’s Basilica. One of Michelangelo’s great works, the Pieta is here.
