Paper's Title: “Workforce Diversity an Essential Element of Success: A Review on Role of
Managers in Managing the Diverse Workforce”
Name: (Head- HR& Est., JGI) Ms. Aishwarya Prabhakar
Organizations of 21st century cannot be expected to be shining on top without a diverse
workforce. They are pretty much inuenced by the changes in the internal and external
environment in our country today. Employing a diverse workforce has become a
predominant factor even while planning about an organization at early stages. It is the skill of
a manager to hire and retain a diverse workforce in such a perfect manner that he or she ultimately achieves
appreciation for the target achievement in the form of prot for the company as well as gains goodwill from his
workforce through his expert retention and management's skills. The current paper is focused on how
managers can create and develop a diverse organization, build up an environment through their best
knowledge where employees feel happier and more passionate about their jobs and exhibit attitudes and
behaviors necessary for improved organizational performance. The importance of diverse workforce, study
the role of managers in hiring, the responsibilities of managers on retention and maintenance of their
employees will be discussed.
Paper's Title: “Biofuels – Scavenger's Hunt for Sustainable Development”
Name of the Faculty member: (Associate Professor (Dept. of Dr. Sunita Parihar
Chemistry), JIETSETG).
Today, the world is facing crisis of conventional fuel on one hand and high degree of
pollution on the other hand. The biomass from forest and agriculture can serve as a tool for
biofuel generation and thereby for sustainable development. The suitability of biomass for
the same depends on multiple factors like its chemical composition, availability, cost and
energy required as input for fuel generation. The probable modes for green fuel production
can be – thermo-chemical, chemical and biochemical. The fuel thus obtained would certainly reduce the CO2
emissions and also consume some of the organic wastes disposed from various sources as well as the plant
materials used for phytoremediation. The paper deals with probable modes in which the biomass can be
utilized for generation of green fuel.
Keywords—pollution, biomass, sustainable development, green fuel
Paper's Title: “Human Computer Interface – Future Challenges and Emerging Technologies”
Name of the Faculty member : (Asst. Prof (Dept. of CSE, JIETSETG) Mr. Mitesh Sharma
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is the study of how people design, implement, and use
interactive computer systems and how computers affect individuals, organizations and
society. This encompasses not only ease of use but also new interaction techniques for
supporting user tasks, providing better access to information, and creating more powerful
forms of communication. It involves input and output devices and the interaction techniques
that use them; how information is presented and requested; how the computer's actions are
controlled and monitored; all forms of help, documentation, and training; the tools used to design, build, test,
and evaluate user interfaces; and the processes that developers follow when creating Interfaces. This paper
is an attempt to highlights the study of interaction between people (users) and computers.
Paper's Title: “Biomedical Application of Microwave in Cardiac Tissue Ablation: From in Vitro Analyses to
Clinical Use”
Name of the Faculty Member: (Assistant Prof., Dept. of ECE (JIET Ms. Aastha Vyas
COED.)
Recently, there has been renewed interest in simplifying a surgical cure for atrial brillation.
Microwave energy ablation provides an easier and faster surgical technique, in lieu of
traditional “cut and sew,” which can also be applied on the beating heart.
Specic absorption rate (SAR) and thermal proles were determined after microwave
energy ablation intended for clinical application. Lesion geometry measures obtained in vitro with tissue
equivalent media were compared with values collected from animal myocardium.
Thermal prole analysis demonstrated lesion penetration depths of 2.5, 3, and 5 mm after 8, 16, and 24
seconds, respectively, with microwave power application of 40 W. Dosimetric studies performed using animal
myocardium corresponded to the thermal prole analysis and showed that lesion depth was controlled by
the output power and the ablation time.
Lesion geometry in tissue using micro-wave energy is similar to that predicted from in vitro analysis. The
ablation depths and thermal prole of microwave ablation is favorable for performing atrial ablation, and this
is corroborated by favorable early clinical results.

Seminar's Topic: “Sustainable Management of Grey Water for Reuse in Irrigation”
Names of the Students: Vasuneet Sharma, Titiksha Mathur (Students of I Year, JIET-Coed.) under the guidance
of Dr. Deepshika Sharma (Associate Prof., (Dept. of Chemistry, JIET –Coed)
For a sustainable urban future, society must move towards the goal of efcient and appropriate water use.
Reuse of domestic grey water has a signicant role to play in this task. Domestic gray water contains organic
and inorganic matter in suspended, colloidal and dissolved forms. The concentration in the gray water depends
on the original concentration in the water supply and the uses to which the water has been put. For irrigation
reuse the waste water may need to undergo the usual preliminary, primary, secondary and tertiary treatment
steps, generally undertaken to make the gray water t for reuse or discharge to the environment. However, the
collection of rainwater in addition to grey water in a single store reuse system offers little improvement in water
saving efciency. The aim of this paper is to assess the role of grey water reuse in sustainable water
management in arid regions. The water collected separately from sewage ow that originates from clothes
washers, bathtubs, showers and sinks, kitchen sinks, dishwashers and toilets. Dish, shower, sink, and laundry
water comprise 50–80% of residential wastewater. Gray Water is used in groundwater recharge, landscaping
and plant growth. A case study on reuse of gray water from hostels of Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and
Technology, Jodhpur for irrigation of neem and basil is presented. Essential oils of neem and basil are extracted
in the laboratory of Chemistry and Environment Engineering Department of Jodhpur Institute of Engineering
and Technology, Jodhpur and used in the manufacturing of green and herbal medicines.
KEYWORDS: Water scarcity, Grey water reuse, water treatment, rainwater, sustainability, water saving
management, irrigation, essential oils, neem, basil, eco-friendly medicines.
Project's Name: “High Performance Concrete”
Name of the Student : (Final Year, CE, JIET) Ramlal Riyar
Concrete is considered as durable and strong material. Reinforced concrete is one of the
most popular materials used for construction around the world. Reinforced concrete is
exposed to deterioration in some regions especially in coastal regions. Therefore
researchers around the world are directing their efforts towards developing a new material to
overcome this problem. Invention of large construction plants and equipment's around the
world added to the increased use of material. This scenario leads to the use of additive
materials to improve the quality of concrete. As an outcome of the experiments and
researches, cement based concrete which meets special performance with respect to workability, strength and
durability known as” High Performance Concrete” was developed. High Performance Concrete can be
designed to give optimized performance characteristics for a given set of load, usage and exposure conditions
consistent with the requirements of cost, service life and durability. The high performance concrete does not
require special equipment's except careful design and production. High performance concrete has several
advantages like improved durability characteristics and much lesser micro cracking than normal strength 36

concrete.
High Performance Concrete (HPC) is designed to give optimized performance characteristics for the given set
of materials, usage and exposure conditions, consistent with requirement of cost, service life and durability. The
American Concrete Institute (ACI) denes HPC ''as concrete which meets special performance and uniformity
requirements that cannot always be achieved routinely by using only conventional materials and nominal
mixing, placing, and curing practices.” The performance may involve enhancements of characteristics such as
placement and compaction without segregation, long-term mechanical properties, and early age strength or
service life in severe environments.
Project's Name: “Moneypad-The Future Wallet”
Name of the Student: (Final Year, ECE, JIET) Rekha Khatri
Just as everything is getting under the shadow of “e” today we have paper currency being
replaced by electronic money. In the emerging eld of electronic commerce, novel
buzzwords like smartcards, online banking, digital cash, and electronic checks are being
used to discuss money. But how are these brand-new forms of payment secure? And most
importantly, which of these emerging secure electronic money technologies will survive into
the next century?
These are some of the tough questions to answer but here's a solution which can provide a form of security to
these modes of currency exchange i.e. “Biometrics Technology”. The Money Pad introduced here uses the
Biometrics technology for Finger Print Recognition. Money Pad is a form of credit card or smartcard. Every time
the user wants to access the Money Pad, he has to make an impression of his ngers which will be scanned and
matched with the saved in the hard disk of data base server. If the nger print matches with the user's nger, he
will be allowed to access and use the Pad. Thus it helps in providing a form of security to the ever - lasting
transaction and the currency of the future, “e-cash”.
Project's Name: “Mobile Number Portability”
Name of the Student: (III Year, IT, JIET)Naresh Prajapat
Number Portability will allow subscribers to change their service provider while retaining their
old mobile number. Portability benets subscribers and increases the level of competition
between service providers, rewarding service providers with the best customer service,
network coverage, and service quality.
Number portability is a circuit-switch telecommunications network feature that enables end
users to retain their telephone numbers when changing service providers, service types,
and/or locations. When fully implemented nationwide by wire line and wireless providers, portability will remove
one of the most signicant deterrents to changing service, providing unprecedented convenience for
consumers, and encouraging unrestrained competition in the telecommunications industry.
All cell phones have special codes. These codes identify the phone, the phone's owner, & the service provider.
Cell phones use high frequency radio signals to communicate with cell towers located throughout the calling
area. These phones operate in the frequency range of 806-890 MHz India is the 8th nation in Asia to launch
MNP. Around 60 countries have already adopted MNP SP-B goes to the central agency. Either with one request
or with bulk of them. Queries for the details. This process is known as “Dipping ". The customer can be charged
for this. The dipping charge may not be more than Rs 19 per request per customer. This is because the service
providers need to setup infrastructure, and incur some expenses for portability. The central agency checks with
the SP-A. This could include verifying whether the customer has paid all dues any completed pending
commitments. The SP-A can also choose to check with customer to verify the authenticity of the request.
However SP-A upon getting the instructions from Central agency need to nish the portability in one hour.
In case, the customer wants to cancel the request, she can do it within 24 hours from applying. In that case, she
can't reclaim the dipping charge. Once into the new SP-B, the customer can't move out and retain the number at
the same time for the next three months. The entire process may take more than 2 days to a maximum of 4 days.
