I was born in the great city of Louisville, Kentucky. Although I left to attend the University of
Kentucky for a short while, I now call Louisville my home again. It is
a great place to live that allows the opportunities of a big city, with the close knit feel of a small town.
Living in Louisville, I am only a short drive away from my mother, father, sister, brother in law and Grandfather. Family is the most
important thing to me! I feel very blessed to work in a town with
those closest to me!
ABOUT ME…
My hobbies include yoga, running, cooking, spending time
at the lake and UK athletics.
When I am not working or involved with finishing school, you can likely find me enjoying
these things.
I also enjoy spending time as an advocate for heart health. I had underwent a heart surgery while in college that was a life changer for me. Promoting heart health and awareness within my family and in the state of Kentucky is a
passion of mine.
ABOUT ME… (CONTD.)
Why UK? The University of Kentucky has allowed me an opportunity to receive a first class education while staying close to the people who are most important to me!
Why Psychology? A Psychology degree allows meto do what I desire more than anything… Help people! I enjoy being able to apply the art of criticalthinking to every day life. Why do we do the thingswe do? How can we become better? These are thequestions I love to try to answer.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
A lifetime of friends…
A chance to be stronger…A dream job … An education to be proud of…
Life has changed a lot in the last 5 years! I graduated
from Manual High School in Louisville in 2006 and was accepted to the University
of Kentucky.
At UK, I was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.
This was a great opportunity to meet new people and become involved in the
Lexington, KY community. Some of my best friends to this day are people I met
during my time with Delta Gamma.
My time at UK was briefly interrupted by two heart
surgeries that changed my life forever. I was granted a chance
to see just how precious life is. It was also during my time at the hospital that I decided what I
wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I now am employed by Kosair children’s hospital. The same
hospital where I had MY surgery. I have a strong passion for
helping others who experience the same things I did.

MOVING FORWARD…
I have a huge passion for counseling. A part of me would like to continue my education to better prepare me to lead entrance and exit counseling for patients who undergo life threatening surgeries.
Another part of me wishes to be more hands on. I would also like to further my education to become a nurse or cardiac therapist. Working directly with heart patients in their greatest time of need is appealing to me.
As long as I am helping others, I know I will be happy…
