Vita DWOS digital dentistry platform - Dental Wings release Dental Wings Inc. 1/3 Vita and Dreve...

Press release Dental Wings Inc. 1/3 Vita and Dreve join Dental Wings to create a full denture work- flow within the DWOS digital dentistry platform. International Dental Show (IDS), Cologne, Germany, March 12, 2013: Vita, Dreve and Dental Wings join forces to deliver to the dental market the most comprehensive digital manufacturing process for full dentures. This partnership will bring together Vita’s world-renowned expertise in denture teeth and materials for prosthetic restorations, Dreve’s extensive knowhow of in 3D Printing and Dental Wings powerful DWOS CAD capabilities. The DWOS Full Dentures Application will include the digital design and manufacturing of both mucosa-supported and implant-supported full dentures. The application will embody the Dental Wings spirit of openness to accept standard STL files from all open input devices including: intra-oral, impression and models scanners. Similarly, it will support all relevant output devices such as Dreve 3D rapid manufacturing printers and various milling systems. The DWOS Full Denture Application will contain the complete digitized VITA denture teeth library, giving dental professionals total design flexibility in meeting the esthetic demands of the patient. Additionally, the application will be seamlessly integrated with the DWOS Screw Retained Bar & Bridge (SRBB) Application, ushering in a new era of simplicity in implant supported denture design and fabrication. The ability to design "prosthetically- driven" implant bars based on the simultaneous virtual denture design propositions, will allow laboratory technicians to achieve an advanced degree of functionality and esthetics never before possible. Similarly, with this cross-application integration, technicians will be enabled to design and fabricate dentures supported directly on locator type implant interfaces. The parties expect that the development of DWOS denture application will be completed in 2013 for launch in early 2014. Henry R.
