† = Please note: on NCDR 2011 units an audio CD cannot be played whilst the navigation CD is loading.
†† = Standard on high roof models.
NavigationThe NCDR 2011 stereo radio/CD player/
navigation unit uses the international network
of GPS (Global Positioning System) satellites
linked to a comprehensive CD-ROM mapping
system to determine your precise location
and guide you to your chosen destination
virtually anywhere in mainland Britain.
Despite its technical sophistication, the
system is very simple to operate, using a
range of menu-driven options which are
easily accessed via the steering wheel
mounted audio controls.
Clearly spoken instructions indicate the road
you need to take or the lane you need to be
in, both well in advance and again when the
manoeuvre is due. Directional pictograms,
clearly shown on the special monochromatic
display screen, back up the spoken
commands.
The CD-ROM supplied with the system
covers all major link roads and streets in
towns and cities across mainland Britain.
Discs are updated twice a year and are
available at extra cost by subscription.
Telephone pre-wiringHelping to keep drivers in touch at all
times, telephone pre-wiring is available
as a factory-fitted option, at extra cost,
when either the CDR 2005 or NCDR 2011
audio units are specified. Pre-wiring when
fitted in conjunction with the Vauxhall
accessory hands-free phone installation kit
allows drivers to listen to incoming calls
hands-free via the audio speakers.
Telephone pre-wiring is fitted in the
factory to ensure full compatibility with the
original wiring, eliminating the problems
often associated with aftermarket systems.
It comprises a microphone and modified
roof aerial together with an integrated
harness complete with power and
aerial connections for the phone. It is
compatible with both the GSM 900
and 1800 frequencies.

Tecshift hydraulic transmission offers
all the main features and flexibility of a
regular automatic, plus the performance
and control of a ‘one touch’ manual gearbox.
In manual mode the driver changes gear
sequentially by pushing the lever forward
(higher gear) or pulling it backwards (lower
gear), with automatic-style ‘kickdown’
through two or more gears also possible
in manual mode. In addition, the Tecshift
transmission offers variable settings to
adjust for vehicle loading. Automatic clutch
control means there is no need for a clutch
pedal. Drivers may switch between modes
on the move using the gearshift selector.● Hydraulic, asbestos-free single-plate clutch
Steering● Power-assisted rack and pinion system● Turning circles (kerb-to-kerb/wall-to-wall):

rating) standard on 1.9CDTI panel van,
chassis and crew cab models, optional
at extra cost on 2.5CDTI 16v (100PS),

Satellite navigation
NavigationThe MS 4150 stereo radio/CD player/
navigation unit uses the international network
of GPS (Global Positioning System) satellites
linked to a comprehensive CD-ROM mapping
system to determine your precise location
and guide you to your chosen destination
virtually anywhere in mainland Britain.
Despite its technical sophistication, the
system is very simple to operate, using
a range of menu-driven options.
Clearly spoken instructions indicate the road
you need to take or the lane you need to be
in, both well in advance and again when the
manoeuvre is due. Directional pictograms,
clearly shown on the monochromatic display
screen, back up the spoken commands.
The CD-ROM supplied with the system is
encrypted and can be partially or completely
activated for a defined period with the aid of
an access code. The benefits of this are that
only information or time used is charged,
automatic CD updates are received and the
latest information is always available.
● = Standard feature.
†† = Please note: on MS 4150 units an audio CD cannot be played whilst the navigation CD is loading.

Plated weightThe maximum weight to which a vehicle
or an axle may be loaded, determined
either by the design of the components or
by legislation. All commercial vehicles must
carry a manufacturer’s ‘plate’ showing the
vehicle and axle gross ‘plated weights’. It is
an offence to drive a vehicle in a condition
where any of these weights are exceeded.
KerbweightThe weight of the complete vehicle in
standard form, excluding payload and
driver but including coolant, oil, 90% full fuel
tank and spare wheel where appropriate.
Kerbweights quoted in Vauxhall brochures
are subject to manufacturing tolerances and
to the fitment of optional equipment and
accessories. Where load capacity is critical
the actual kerbweight should be obtained
by weighing the vehicle on a calibrated
public weighbridge.
Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)The total permissible weight of a vehicle
including payload and passengers, as shown
on the manufacturer’s plate.
Gross Combination Weight (GCW)The maximum permissible weight of a
vehicle, including payload and passengers,
combined with the total weight of any trailer
it is towing. The maximum GCW weight limit
is quoted on the vehicle plate and must not
be exceeded.
PayloadThe total permissible weight that can be
carried without exceeding the vehicle’s plated
weight. This can be obtained by deducting the
kerbweight from the plated Gross Vehicle
Weight (GVW). Please note: the payload
figure does not allow for the weight of the
driver or any passengers.
Maximum towing weightThe maximum weight of any trailer and its
load which may be towed within the limit
of the vehicle’s plated Gross Combination
Weight (GCW). It is based on the ability of
the vehicle – at full GCW – to restart on a
12% gradient, which is approximately 1 in 8.3,
at sea level. At altitudes above 1500 metres,
the engine output may drop with a
corresponding reduction in towing capability.
It is the operator’s responsibility to ensure
that the trailer noseweight does not cause
the rear axle plated weight of the towing
vehicle to be exceeded.
Always fit Vauxhall towing attachments
and accessories available from your
Vauxhall Commercial Vehicle retailer.
They are designed specifically for Vauxhall
models and carry a 12-month warranty.
