To begin using Vizwik in the classroom start your students off by having them create an App based on one of their interests:
● This promotes engagement in the students
● It shifts attention off the complexity of learning
● It provides immediate visual feedback
● Students achieve a sense of accomplishment
● Reduces the amount of in-class support
Introduction to Vizwik
To begin the first lesson you will need:
1. A desktop computer for students in groups of 1 to 4
2. Internet access for each computer
3. Chrome Web Browser Installed
4. Access to www.vizwik.com
Setup
You will need to sign up:
1. Navigate to www.vizwik.com
2. Click the green “Sign Up” button
3. Select “Teacher” option
4. Enter a unique username and password
5. Follow the remaining optional steps by clicking the “Next” button (email and birth date are optional)
6. Complete the opening Tutorial (15 steps)
7. Create a Class...
Teacher Sign up
Once created, you will be in the new class. To switch between the classes use the class menu beneath your account summary. The menu items labeled “Vizwik” is the public network.
Switching Classes
Each student/group will need to sign up:
1. Navigate to www.vizwik.com
2. Click the green “Sign Up” button
3. Select “Student class code” option
4. Enter a unique username and password
5. Enter class code
6. Follow the remaining optional steps by clicking the “Next” button (email and birth date are optional)

In the first lesson students will:
1. Create an Project from a Template
2. Import Images to Media Panel
3. Add images to View
4. Create New View
5. Add Button to navigate between Views
6. Publish App to your Classroom
1. Create Project from Template
To create a new app first create a project from a template.

To add images drag and drop them from your desktop, or add using the “+” button to access the file dialog

To navigate between Views create a new View and rename it

5. Add Button to Navigate ViewsTo add a button drag and drop the button from the Parts Panel to the View, then set it’s script property to the new View you just created
