1. Introduction

The VKS is VSAT (very small aperture terminal) outdoor unit and which

includes a RF Transmitter and Receiver for internet service over Satellite Ku

band.

2. VKS Configuration

Please refer to BKM2V-RX and TK213 technical spec for detail.

3. Installation

The VKS is very easy to installation. The installation procedure is as follows:

Step 1: Set the dish antenna on suitable location and make sure there are no

obstacles that may prevent the dish from receiving signal.

Step 2: Fixup right the VKS unit with feed horn holder as shown on the

following figure, run TX and RX cables between the VKS and the

Satellite Modem.

Step 3: Set your dish to the proper Azimuth and Elevation settings to receive

satellite A signal. (This information should be supplied with your dish)

Step 4: Adjust the dish and VKS which fixed in the feed horn holder to get

the highest satellite signal.

Step 5: Fixup the dish (Azimuth and Elevation).

Step 6: Re-confirm VKS signals getting the maximum levels.

5. Operation Cautions

A. The VKS is only allowed to be repaired or disassembled by Karunia Sinergi or Karunia Sinergi authorized technician.

B. The body of VKS will have a higher temperature, please avoidtouching the metal casing with your hand directly.

C. The Radiation will occur when the VKS is operated. Do not standface against to the VKS’s RF output directly!
