How can I submit a video in DMU Replay and Blackboard Your lecturer can create a private 'space' for you to upload a video submission using DMU Replay. By private this means only you and your lecturer can view the content. Your lecturer will notify you if they have enabled such a space for you to upload your videos in this way which may be for an assessed or non-assessed piece of work. The below guidance outlines how you can upload your video to DMU Replay and Blackboard based on an assignment folder created for you to upload to in DMU Replay. There is further instructions after this showing you then how to add a link to your uploaded video in DMU Replay to Blackboard if required.If you are unsure just ask your tutor. How can I submit a video in DMU Replay and Blackboard Your lecturer can create a private 'space' for you to upload a video submission using DMU Replay. By private this means only you and your lecturer can view the content. Your lecturer will notify you if they have enabled such a space for you to upload your videos in this way which may be for an assessed or non-assessed piece of work. 

The below guidance outlines how you can upload your video to DMU Replay and Blackboard based on an assignment folder created for you to upload to in DMU Replay. There is further instructions after this showing you then how to add a link to your uploaded video in DMU Replay to Blackboard if required.If you are unsure just ask your tutor.

To submit or upload your video in DMU Replay:

1. Open a web browser for example MS Edge or Firefox and enter the web URL address 'panopto.dmu.ac.uk'

2. In the 'User Sign In' window select the brown 'Sign-in' button

3. Login using your usual Blackboard username and password to login to DMU Replay.

4. Select 'Browse' from the left grey panel to expand folders

5. Locate and select the Blackboard module folder where your video needs to be uploaded. You can identify this as this will have the same Blackboard module code as in Blackboard. Select this folder and a subfolder with the same name will be available appended with '[assignments]' at the end of its name. This is the assignment folder you need to select, see the example given in figure 5 below. In figure 5 the sub folder for the Blackboard folder is selected.

You can further check this by viewing the full folder details in the main right panel as in figure 6 below

6. Select the brown 'Create' drop down menu and from the options select 'Upload Media'

7. In the 'Add files' window you can either upload your video or media file by 'dragging' your video file into the  'Grey box' or select the grey box to locate your video/media to upload. See Figure 8 below.

8. Your video/media file will be uploaded into the system. Please ensure you wait till the green uploading visual bar is completed so that your file is successfully uploaded. See Figure 9.

9. Once your media file has finished uploading, you will see the following 'Upload complete' message in replace of the uploading green bar. See figure 10

10. Close the upload window by selecting the 'X' in the top right corner. Your video/media file is now uploaded into DMU Replay for your lecturer to view.

11. You are safe to log out of DMU Replay. From the top right corner on the screen on your name select

the drop down arrow and then sign out.

12.Note that you will receive an automated email from DMU Replay - this is your digital receipt. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours please contact ITMS to report this. See example email in figure 11.

Please Note- Your lecturer may have provided you with further instructions on how to add a link to your uploaded video now in DMU Replay in Blackboard.  This link can be added into the Blackboard in many ways depending on the nature of the video e.g. assessed piece of work. Please ask your tutor for further advice if you've been asked to do this. The link to use is the 'View' link given in your automated email -

your digital receipt. This can be copied and pasted as appropriate. See Figure 12 as an example.

To add a 'View' link for an uploaded DMU Replay video for a Blackboard assignment submission:

The below guidance outline the steps to add your video 'link' for your now uploaded in DMU Replay (as outlined in the above steps) to an assignment link that has been set up in the Blackboard module, this allows for your tutor to leave feedback in Blackboard.

1. Login to Blackboard and locate the Blackboard module

2. Select the appropriate video assignment submission link 

3. Paste the copied 'View' link from the automated email for your uploaded video from DMU Replay (Figure 12) into the comments box. See figure 13 below.

4. Select the Submit button. Ensure you see the submission confirmation message as figure 14

5. Your video assignment submission is now complete in Blackboard using the assignment submission link.
