Context Clues!!Another Way to Introduce a Word — Identifying Context Clues!!Example — Nelson Mandela, who led the fight against apartheid in South Africa, was considered a dissident by the South African government. !!Synonym — While he was considered a dissident and a revolutionary by many, George Washington was a human being with feelings and a family. !!Antonym — No one would consider him a dissident, as he always followed the rules and never questioned his boss. !!General Sense of the Sentence — After it was established that she refused to acknowledge the authority of the king, the woman was labeled a dissident and was burned at the stake. !!!!!
