urban: one community that is considered a city. Urban communities have tall buildings called skyscrapers, many types of transportation, not very much open space or natural areas and many people living close together.

suburban: one community that is a neighborhood close to but not in the city. In suburban communities people live in houses or small apartment buildings but not skyscrapers, many people have yards, there are many natural areas and fewer people.

rural: one community that is considered farmland. Rural communities have a few buildings or farm houses spread out over large distances, roads are not paved so people need special vehicles like pickup trucks and tractors. There is lots of open space and natural areas. This community has the fewest amount of people.

natural resources: materials that are found in nature that can be used by people.One example is a tree. A tree can be cut down and used to make paper, wooden furniture and more. Other natural resources are soil, plants, water, wind sun and oil.
