    VOGEL Product Advantages

Pump housing made of cast aluminum (KFG / KFGS)

resp. Of high quality glass-fiber reinforced plastic (KFA / KFAS)

Block distributors and sectional feeders available in different sizes

Better metering possibilities for every lube point, precise and with optimal effect

Not too much and not too little

0.04 0.36 ccm per cycle, i.e. a metering ratio of 1:9 without crossporting

    ensures the greatest possible flexibility

Finely graduated pump elements for exact metering (4 fixed)

    Sophisticated control electronics

(EMC-tested, vibration-proof, dip-varnished circuit board to protect against

dampness, protected against voltage peaks, nonvolatile memory)

    Arguments for the skeptical customer

The customer says ... Our answer:

    1. CL is too expensive It pays for itself no later than the second year of operation.

    (see the payoff calculation)

    2. Bad experience with earliercentral lubrication systems

VOGEL CL systems especially developed for the off-roadmarket have been in use for more than 15 years, are fullymature and have stood the toughest tests.Important are installation know-how and fast service.

    3. CL makes people careless An unreliable driver neglects machinery with or without CL,but CL still assures dependable lubrication of the lube points.

    Arguments for the skeptical customer

The customer says ... Our answer:

    4. The driver should check the

underside of the machine at thesame time as he does thelubrication.

    He can do that.

The drive shaft still has to be lubricated by hand.

    5. Grade 2 grease causesproblems in the winter

No!VOGEL systems work dependably down to -25C.

    6. When the pressure is too high, the grease bleeds and jams thesystem.

That happens only with inappropriate grease. All reputable grease manufacturers offer suitable high-pressure (EP) grease (also quickly biodegradable types).

    Arguments for the skeptical customer

The customer says ... Our answer:

    7. We use special grease with MoS2 No problem! Grease containing as much as 5 % MoS2(usual figure) can be used in VOGEL systems.

    8. How can I check whether everybearing has received thenecessary amount of grease?

The way progressive feeders work ensures a reliable, individually metered supply of lubricant for every individualbearing.

    9. How can I notice whether a faultoccurs?

Visual monitoring:visual checks with the help of a safety valve on eachpump outlet port

Electronic monitoring:the pistons stroke is monitored by a cycle switch on the

    progressive feeder

    Arguments for the skeptical customer

The customer says ... Our answer:

    10. How do I know what grease is

suitable for a VOGEL centrallubrication system?

A constantly updated list of NLGI grade 2 grease

    tested* by VOGEL is available

Moreover, VOGEL also offers to test* othergrease as a service to the customer.

    * The test is related to the suitability of thegrease for use in central lubrication systems, not to its lubricating properties.

Marketing Features Automatic Central Lubrication System

    Why Automatic Lubrication ?

The automatic system works without the human error factor.

    In short time intervals

    Lubricates every point, every time

Result: Reduced wear and tear in all bearings connected and increases the

bearing life time by minimum factor 4.

Marketing Features Automatic Central Lubrication System

Automatic Principle: Small dosages, more often

Automatic systems apply lubricant to lube points ...

in small dosages but more often

when the vehicle is in operation

and never miss a lubrication cycle

Result: Service and repair cost savings of 15 - 25 %

depending on bearing design, operating conditions etc.

Return of Investment (ROI) usually 1 year or less

Marketing Features Automatic Central Lubrication System

    Optimizing Lubrication Quantity

Automatic systems can be designed in a manner

that the exact amount of grease reaches the bearing:

    not more,

    not less

Result: Approximately 50 % of grease can be saved.
