An EPS Newsletter Vol. 03 ATMOSPHERE IIT Bombay : Strategies for Organizaonal Growth ffifS ffifS CeBIT INDIA Insight Series 2014 has been a year of opmism and renewed vigor for EPS, during which we reaffirmed our commitment to all our stakeholders. Our clients are one of our most important stakeholders and we strive to be consistently relevant to their changing business needs. To enable our clients to ancipate and adapt to the ever-changing business environment, we have had to transform ourselves internally many a me. In recent years, we embarked on a strategy that focuses on opportunies from the Retail Banking, ATM and Payment Services industry. Over the past year, while we connued to stay the course of that strategy, we sharpened its execuon. Our biggest assets are our employees. Through their hard work, passion and commitment to excellence, they help us differenate ourselves in the marketplace and realize our aspiraons. Early in my career, I realized there are four fundamental requirements for corporate success i.e. building a strong foundaon of quality people based on fairness, transparency, meritocracy and accountability; implemenng robust real me systems leveraging modern technology; instung responsive, friconless and transparent processes to faithfully represent the business environment of the company; and finally, taking quick and objecve decisions based on data and facts and eschewing biases. I have always believed that fairness, transparency, meritocracy, accountability and leadership by example are key to the success of EPS. Teamwork is important but it is also important to measure and recognize the performance of an individual. This is extremely valuable feedback to individuals as it gives them an addional dimension to improve their use of me and work. We believe this culture of individuals being aware of their producvity has the potenal to improve how appraisals are done, how wasted effort is reduced in the workplace and ulmately, how we deliver services to our clients. I firmly believe it has the potenal to transform our organizaon at a fundamental level. While delivering value to our stakeholders, we make sure that we do not lose focus of the need to give back to society. We connue to expand our reach and make a difference to society by empowering people and communies at the boom of the pyramid and providing opportunies to improve standards of living, through reputable NGOs across India. 2014 has been a year of opmism and renewed vigor for EPS, during which we reaffirmed our commitment to all our stakeholders.

Early in my career, I realized there are four fundamental requirements for corporate success i.e. building a strong foundaon of quality people based on fairness, transparency, meritocracy and accountability; implemenng robust real me systems leveraging modern technology; instung

responsive, friconless and transparent processes to faithfully represent the business environment of the company; and finally, taking quick and objecve decisions based on data and facts and eschewing biases.

While delivering value to our stakeholders, we make sure that we do not lose focus of the need to give back to society. We connue to expand our reach and make a difference to society by empowering people and communies at the boom of the pyramid and providing opportunies to improve standards of living, through reputable NGOs across India.
