Site descriptionA pleasant quiet site in open woodland at the foot of the only protruding hill on a flat landscape. The trees and rolling hills are
welcome after driving miles over flat farmland. There are two designated, graveled sites (only 1 level) but with free access to the surrounding flats. All are open to the occasiona
day visitor. The granite soils support White cypress pine (rare), stunted Manna (Ribbony) Gum and Grey and Yellow Box to provide open shade.
Much of the Park to the north has been largely undisturbed, resulting in a rare example of native grasslands, supporting kangaroos and
birds. In spring there are masses of wildflowers: yellow native daisies, red and purple Swainson peas, blue-purple blue bells.
