    Coming this summer!TM

Coming Soon. Sign up for newsletter for more information at www.galvestonwizard.com Let us work together to develop the ultimate realm map for you to discover.

We must catch you up on our many exciting adventures, and we are overjoyed to be writing to you of our progress. We things that we have learned, people weve met, times weve shared. We love it when things come together for peope. We love it when good things happen to YOU! Who, Us? No, friends...Where have YOU been?! LOL. ...ahem, (you see? We too are hip, online at facebook, myspace, twitter.) Let us reconnect fully. Time that we have not been with you, we have spent in defense of the realm, our shared rights, and obligations to the community and each other. The Road is Not Easy. Many are uncapable of the things we do, cannot withstand the sacrifices required of putting everything on the line to make things happen. Until September of Last Year, neither did we...Tis Great to See you too. We have many ideas to share, much progress to report, and much more work to do. Many of you do not know your realm, or its possibilities. If so, how can you go forth and make everything you want possible achieveable? You must open up your communication. Stop the madness. Stop picking on and derailing each other. Dont let me fall, and I wont let you etiher. A superstar is a bit unlucky, but perseverence will pay off as long as you dont give up on your passion and dreams. We were encouraged by one of our favorite Mathematician teachers to show our work. We did, but using very little space. You will get a sample of that style in this issue, marking our evolution towards recovery to better serve and reach you, and our workspace will grow. We have taken considerable effort to show you it here. Sweet Evolution, or Revolution, as it would seem, for ourselves, and hopefully, for you.. Let us hear from you. How are things with you? We look forward to the full recovery of our newspaper, a guide for the lost, an outlet for the found. Help introduce us to YOUR people. Imagine you won a grand prize trip to Galveston What experiences would youwant? What do you wanna do? Friend Gary said experience the ocean, deep sea fishing, submarine ride , 1900s storm memorials, Ike recovery, and puntang. What do you think this is, a pirate island? We wish to work alongside you and countless other like-minded individuals looking to make Galveston Island Bound, Year-Round. How to Get Involved? We can help connect you. ...And Nev-er Forget! You can always always always always talk with us. Let us grow together in TwentyTen towards peace, happiness, and success. We look forward to seeing you out in the realm. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter online for complete info and details.

Ulti-mately, its up to you what you find in these pages or online. Its Your View-point we want. Let us share in Real truths, traditional and unorthodox viewpoints, education and information.

A closed mouth cant be fed. We had not, and hadnt asked, So we figured why not ask around? We need sheetrock, cleaning supplies, building material, con-tractors, anything and everything to bring our new headquarters from a vacant space to a stronghold, signaling our full recovery and return to our efforts here.

McCoys sent us a response letter. For now, No, but They only wish we could say yes to all the requests that we receive. -cc 001.

A Special tribute to the union of two excellent people, Sage and Monica Moore celebrated their marriage at Trube Castle on October 24th with close friends and family. We were honored with an invitation. Costumes were almost mandatory. Isaac Almaguer-artist, graphic designer, videographer, model, musician, skateboard-er, bodybuilder, sniper, etc.- can also deliver a pretty good speech! Thanks for the Ghoulishly good time!

    Whats new on victory ave?

David, I dont want to delay writing to you, so I am doing so upon receipt of your e-mail. At this point, I am stumped by your problem because I have not encountered this situation in other constituents. I will think about it and if an idea comes to me I will communicate it to you. I went to junior high and high school in Tulsa. I graduated from Edison High School in 1971. My family moved away that summer, but I have many friends there and visit often. I have a trip planned for this July. Best of luck to you. I hope you are able to get some financial assistance.-Elizabeth Beeton (CAN YOU HELP US BUILD IT? NEEDS LIST ON OUR WEB SITE)

Here are some community resources we found that you might find useful, reader.

  • Extra? Extra!(Read all about it!)

This is going to be a regular thing, help us work it like a utility bill. We can bring people into your loop! Where is your business at? How can we help? Let us consult you. We use your machinery, products, and services, we think we can come up with a way to sell products for you that people see us using. How can we use this? If I can sell one cause of the way that I use it, they might give us a little bit of spending money. Take care of the money, so itll take care of you.

Time has been against us, but we have worked innovatively to continue our efforts on the island, despite having received no housing assistance, grant or loan money to acquire residence and furnishings lost WHILE working to continue our Pe-riodical, Web site, and community efforts here AND adding value to entice tourism, events and the organizations that form them, and the Renais-sance people working to create an island with the best possible chance of offering every Galvestonian an opportunity for success, happiness and peace of mind. Like what you see? Its good to see you too. want more? faster? harder? longer? We are organizing our business to better serve the com-

munity. and we could use all the help you care to give us. This is where we make the wizard. Why dont we do things faster? Were over-achievers...?I dont know. Donate, buy some merch, send in a story, introduce us to more business. With a new spot, were going to need EVERYTHING! Were literally going to make it happen, with the support of local individuals like you (special thanks to Julie Kamen and others with getting the word out!), groups, organizations, advertisers and investors. We look forward to the evolution of our school of wizardry.

  • Perhaps we should have been in Galveston at ground zero, taking pictures, getting the story of a lifetime during Ike. The story for us was absolute distance and separation from our Is-land home, helpless to help our people. Proactivity, learning discovering, networking, working to create jobs, community relation, the value of friendship-All of these things are stronger with us now since our Tulsa quests. We are with you now and always. Let us love and live the lives we are given. Were all in this together. The Tulsa Wizard, now coccooned, awaits.

Some words from Susan Mcconnell...I dont have many photos of Chron and I together, I was always the one BEHIND the lens. I didnt really think about how Id want them later when someone or other would come to take pictures of us and I hid from the camera. Thats just how it is, you never think to yourself that that person will ever be gone. I kept thinking to myself that there would be plenty of time to do and say all the things I meant to when he got out of the hospital. I went and saw him several times and sometimes things looked better and sometimes they looked worse, but I just wasnt prepared to say goodbye to my friend. Thursday the 3rd of Septem-ber I recieved a call from Troy saying that I needed to get up to the hospital to see David and so of course I went right away. The last time Id seen Dave he was sitting up in a chair and we spoke for a few minutes. He didnt seem quite the same but I figured it was just that he was still feeling poorly. He knew who I was

though. So I get to the hospital and deliver the flow-ers and food and then I go to see him, I was warned that it wasnt like last time but I had to see my homie. I stood for a moment by his bed and said a few words to him, I told him that I

loved him and then I went to the bathroom and cried with his mother and Amber. I kept telling them Hes gonna be ok, Hes gonna be ok. I got a call a few hours later telling me theyd pulled life support because there was just no hope and I felt like Id been hit by a train. Im still in disbe-lief. I cant believe that I wont ever get to text Three Little Birds to him anymore, I wont get to see his huge smile when I go dance, I wont ever get chewed out by him again, I wont ever have the chance to thank him for believing in me when no one else did, for being my friend when everyone else had either forgotten me, thought some bull$hit about me, or just didnt give a f*ck about me. He made sure I never spent my birthday alone, cause his birthday is one day after mine, he made sure I had a reason to smile when I thought I didnt have much to smile about, he was a good friend that Ill miss dearly and I hope that everyone who cared about him knows how lucky weve all been to have him as a friend. Ill miss the way he outspokenly voiced his views on life and love and friendship and music and pretty much everything in between. He was an original. I know that hes better now, I know that now he doesnt have to hurt anymore and hes gained what I dont have yet. He knows everything now. The greatest mystery of all has been opened and he sees

what wonders I can only imagine. I like to think of him spinning, surrounded by beautiful women, with a rum and coke, chillin with Bob Marley. Ill be there to dance, just give me a little while, Skillet, Ill be there to dance. I am grateful for his friendship, and for all the things Ive learned from him. Tolerance, pa-tience, strength, joy in middle of mourning, and to take from life every-thing I am given, the good and the bad. He was and always will be my friend. Rest in Power.

In loving memory of DJ Chron

Tulsa mourns the loss of a wonderful DJ, and beautiful human being. David Palmer passed away the 3rd of september from health problems, Chron was a dear friend of mine and most the tulsa night life. David was a very recognized DJ in the tulsa scene, known for his great talent and greater soul. A staple for hip hop and D&B in local clubs for the last decade , I wanted to share a part of his memorial party for those who were not able to make it. We made it a night to celebrate his life . The love and kindness he showed me and my family & so many others in tulsa & OK city will live in our hearts forever. Here are some pictures that show the joy he still brings in spirit to his friends and family. -Joel David

Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the Coalition for Urban Renewal & Education, a 501c3 non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy.

Prior to her involvement in social activism, Star Parker was a single welfare mother. Her personal transformation from welfare fraud to conservative crusader has been chronicled by many in the media. Today, in addition to heading CURE, Star is a syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, offering weekly op-eds to more than 400 newspapers worldwide. Star has written three books. Her autobiography

Pimps, Whores & Welfare Brats was released in 1997 by Pocket Books, Uncle Sams Plantation is released by Thomas Nelson in the fall of 2003, and White Ghetto: How Middle Class America Reflects Inner City Decay was released in 2006.

Star Parker on government social programs and public housing:

A benevolent Uncle Sam welcomed mostly poor black Americans onto the government plantation. Those who accepted the invitation switched mindsets from How do I take care of myself? to What do I have to do to stay on the plantation? Instead of solving economic problems, government welfare socialism

created monstrous moral and spiritual problems -- the kind of problems that are inevitable when individuals turn responsibility for their lives over to others. The legacy of American socialism is our blighted inner cities, dysfunctional inner city schools, and broken black families. I thought we were on the road to moving socialism out of our poor black communities and replacing it with wealth-producing American capitalism. But, incredibly, we are going in the opposite direction. Trillions of dollars later, black poverty is the same. But black families are not, with triple the incidence of single-parent homes and out-of-wedlock births.
