Dear Tri-county ASHRAE:
2011-2012 was a great year for Tri-County ASHRAE. I want to highlight a couple of
accomplishments from this year. We started off the year with a bang with our tour of
Joseph Filippi winery in Rancho Cucamonga (hopefully this will be a new tradition). This
meeting brought out some new members and I believe set the tone for the rest of the
year. We also had our first DL in a number of years along with other great speakers
and topics. April, our student night, was also a great night for the students. Here, we
presented three (3) well deserving students with scholarships. Our new website,
www.tcashrae.org was also launched during the year. Please take a look and let us know
what you think. Lastly, our golf tournament was a huge success. It is because of this
tournament that we were able to present the students with scholarships as well as
contribute to research promotion.
Speaking of the golf tournament, I would like to thank these companies for sponsoring
foursomes and/or hole sponsorships.
As my tenure as President of Tri-County comes to an end, I would like to thank the
Board of Governor’s for their support because without them this year would not have
been possible. Thanks to Adam Stadnik for putting out a great newsletter that was
always worth reading and thanks to Joe Sanders for being our Golf Tournament Chair
and putting on a great show. Thank you to Jim Toda for always going to great lengths
in helping our chapter as well as our student branch. Thank you to everybody that
participated this year, i.e. speakers, members, volunteers…etc. We hope to see you
next week for our installation dinner. If not, have a great summer and see you next
year. It has been a pleasure serving this chapter as President and I wish the future
officers good luck!

The results are in! A quick scan of the numbers (and some simple math)
shows just how dedicated the Tri-County faithful are to the advancement
of the chapter, as well as to the advancement of the engineering
sciences. For example, from this table we can conclude that Tri-County
scored approximately 18.8 total points per assigned member. That’s
third best in Region X behind the Tucson and Hawaii chapters! This is
something to be proud of and, better yet, something to build upon going
into our next season. Tri-County also scored points in all but one
category this year. Very good again! We hope to move into the 2012-
2013 season by continuously improving while riding this success.
