The deadline for cancelling notices in the principal edition is 12.00 midday Wednesday. Please call the Gazette Office

immediately to cancel a notice, and confirm by email.

The Antigua and Barbuda Bureau of Standards wishes to advise the General Public and all stakeholder agencies that effective January 21, 2019 the following standards shall be declared to be Standards, and Antigua and Barbuda Standards, pursuant to section 17 (1) and (3) of the Standards Act (411) of the revised laws of Antigua and Barbuda, 1992 edition and section 3 (1) of the Standards Regulations 1998: - ISO ABNS 13009:2014 Tourism and related services — Requirements and recommendations for beach operation Scope: This National Standard establishes general requirements and recommendations for beach operators that offer tourist and visitor services. It provides guidance for both beach operators and users regarding the delivery of sustainable management and planning, beach ownership, sustainable infrastructure and service provision needs, including beach safety, information and communication, cleaning and waste removal. This National Standard is applicable to beaches during the bathing season. ISO ABNS 18065:2015 Tourism and related services -- Tourist services for public use provided by Natural Protected Areas Authorities – Requirements Scope: This International Standard establishes the requirements for tourist services provided directly by NPAA in order to satisfy visitors while giving priority to the NPA conservation objectives, excluding the marine protected areas. NOTE These NPAs can be publicly or privately managed, managed by the community or by NGO, or managed by a mixture of some or all of these possibilities. The National Adoption of these standards was supervised by the Environmental Management Technical Committee and approved by the Antigua and Barbuda Standards Council on November 21, 2018.

Approved List for Exemptions 2018, Under Manufacturers Incentive

The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda in October, 2011, agreed to provide assistance to manufacturers. This policy is been

implemented through the Ministry of Trade. In accordance with the Cabinet Decision the list of items on which the various

waivers, exemptions are sought must be vetted and approved by the Ministry of Trade.

have provided the Ministry with the relevant information and have been approved to benefit from the Manufacturer Incentives

Program. In this regard, the Ministry of Trade is requesting that the names referred to above be added to the various schedule

as contained in Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (Manufacturers Exemption) Regulation, 2012 and the Revenue Recovery

Charge (Exemption) Order, 2012 Section B.

Please ensure that the list containing these additional manufacturers be gazette as soon as possible to allow them to benefit

from the assistance provided.
