have taken a step towardsmaking our school eco-friendlyby adopting solar power togenerate the power requirementof the school.
Shri. Ravindra KumarAgarwal, Chairman, NaturalRemedies Pvt. Ltd agreed todonate a Solar Power Plant tothe school to help in generation ofelectricity. The solar power plantwas built by “U-Solar CleanEnergy Solutions Pvt Limited”.
Besides generating cleanenergy to aid an eco-friendlyenvironment the Solar powerplant also helps the school insaving significant amount ofmoney as electricity charges paidto BESCOM. The school has
been able to save money andutilize this to sponsor educationfor 6 students annually under the‘sponsor a child scheme’.
The inauguration of thisSolar Power Plant was held on19th September at the schoolpremises under the aegis ofShri. G. Kumar Naik, ManagingDirector, KPCL. The Guest ofHonor for the event wasShri. Ravindra Kumar Agarwal,Chairman of Natural RemediesPvt. Ltd., Smt. Abha Agarwal,Shri. K. R. Harinarayan, CEO ofU-Solar and Shri.K.G.Raghavan,Chairman, Bharatiya VidyaBhavan’s – BBMP Public School.

at the school. Following thatguests were taken on a schooltour by K.G. Raghavan,Chairman, and H.N.Suresh,C.E.O. of Bharatiya VidyaBhavan- BBMP Public School.It was an endearing moment asthe guests interacted with thestudents at classes and teachers.
A formal program by thestudents and teachers began withthe students chanting Ganeshashloka to invoke blessings ofLord Ganesha.
Shri. K. G. Raghavanwelcomed the gathering andspoke on the importance ofSolar Power Plant to the school.
He highlighted on how the SolarPower Plant had reduced cost ofelectricity benefitting the school.All the guests were felicitated byShri.K.G.Raghavan andShri. H. N. Suresh.

Shri. Ravindra KumarAgarwal, Chairman, NaturalRemedies Pvt. Ltd., in a briefspeech spoke of how he wasimpressed with his first visit tothe school. He praised themanagement’s decision onbringing education to thebelow poverty line families ofSrirampuram area.
He stated that when theschool had a requirement forSolar Power Plant to generateelectricity; he took thisopportunity and donated theschool the solar power plant to
help in reducing the cost ofelectricity for the school.
Shri.K.R.Harinarayan, CEO,U-Solar Clean Energy SolutionsPvt. Ltd. enlightened the gatheringabout the use of solar in varioustechnologies. He asked thegathering if anyone knew howmuch time the sun needs topower the whole earth, andsaid “The sun needs a mere15 minutes to power the wholeearth. He said he was happy tohelp the school go green bygenerating solar energy.

Prof. S. G Siddharamaiah,President of KannadaDevelopment Authority wasthe Chief Guest and Shri. N.Gangadhar Shetty, president ofVinayak Gokak Vangmaya Trustwas the Guest of Honour.
Dr S.Shettar, researcher andlanguage expert was the recipientof this prestigious award.

Recalling his association withProf. Gokak, Dr. Shettar saidDr. Gokak was not only a greatpoet and scholar but was also agreat administrator. “There isretirement age for all fieldsincluding administration, educationand politics, but that’s not so, forliterature. Writers don’t stressover what to do after retiringfrom their profession; creativityblossoms with the age.
He humbly admitted that this,he rated as the highest awardamong all the awards conferredon him.

It’s President Rtn Jagadeesh Msaid, “I feel very proud to be partof this initiative. We areoverwhelmed by the response wegot from this course. I wish goodluck to each individual for theircontribution towards making thisa great success.”
With the issuing of certificatesto the graduating students, theceremony concluded paving theway to a new dimension towardstechnical advancements.
