Business CardThe business card for Voltairs is very simple, while trying to be sophisticated. The Voltairs logo on the front of the card is foiled in gold which makes it stand out. The number underneath the card is for quick access to call the 24/7 concierge service should the customer need to. The stock for the business card is GF Smith Ebony 350gsm

Members CardVery similar to the business card, but proposed to be printed on to a plastic, the members card is something more permanent and used to authenticate a member before boarding the plane. This would be done by swiping the card, as it has a stripe on the back. The card also includes a number to contact Voltairs should the need occur.

Branding BookThe brand guidelines as well as a celebration of the brand, the brand book shows off Voltairs. Talking about each bit of design and giving the specifications is a key part of this book. Using a Black on Black with gold colour scheme I tried to design a clean, simple but great looking book which anyone would be interested in, even if it was just to look at the pictures. The book is A4 format and printed on to 225gsm matte stock.

Logo and SymbolBoth the logo and the symbol are foiled in gold. I felt that this print process added an extra quality and made it more specialised. Combine this with good quality stock and I think it makes Voltairs look interesting and professional.

Luggage LabelsColour matched luggage labels are sent to the passengers so they can match the luggage labels to their baggage.

EnvelopeTo send out all the information that a customer needs these black envelopes are used. They will usually contain tickets, luggage tags, a business card and any other information necessary. The envelope also has the foiled logo in the bottom left corner.

a small thank you...

LetterheadThe letterhead initially, was not needed for this branding because stationary wasn’t really what I was planning for this identity. However a letterhead would be needed to send out information to the customer with tickets. I wanted to make the letterhead look corporate and professional, but also stick with the company colours. Standard A4 size using GF Smith Pristine White 80gsm paper.

Compliment SlipAgain same situation as the letterhead, but designed it just incase the need arose. Same stock as the A4 letterhead but the size is 297mm x 110mm. Both the letterhead and slip are foiled in the same style as the rest of the deliverables.

TicketsThe tickets are an important part of a flight. So I wanted to stick to a standard ticket format but to reduce the size to make it more personal and easier to carry, and to also highlight the relevant information for the customer to make it easier for them to get the information they needed. I highlighted the information by colouring it in the Voltairs gold, and that made it stand out. The size of the ticket is the same as a £20 note. So its 140mm x 75mm my reason for this is so you can put the ticket in your wallet or purse and its safe, rather than having different places to put all of your different information.

StockThe stock for the tickets is GF Smith Ebony 350gsm. I felt that this would make it stiff enough to be in a wallet without getting creased, but would also be thin enough to fit in to ticket readers are the airports.

ColourDifferent colours of tickets can be chosen when booking if the customer wants to colour match the tickets with a wallet or a bag etc. This is the same as the luggage labels.

Plane DesignThe planes used will be like the image to the left. The will be coloured either in black or a grey to be consistent with the whole brand. Voltairs will be placed at the front of the plane under the pilot window on both sides. This is so that the identity is prominent and easily recognisable.

Tail Designs.The idea of the tail design was to use the symbol on the plane. The ‘V’ from Voltairs was a perfect place to use it and with the company colours it creates a strong visual for the plane. The ‘V’ was designed for that reason, to identity the brand.

Flight entertainment systemOn the flights, Voltairs would provide small individual screens with a selection of films and the use of the internet. These pictures show how the touch screens would be used. When a passenger presses on the desired film it will grey out so they know they have pressed it. The film will then start.

WebsiteWeb presence is a big thing in the present day, and nearly all companies have a website of some sort. Even though I wanted Voltairs to be a phone based service where customer talk to a personal concierge about booking their flights, a website is a necessity. The website is simple like the rest of the brand and provides the number for voltairs.

iPad & iPhoneUsers of the iPad or iPhone can press the number and it will automatically connect their call to the Voltairs phone system.
