RAMBLIN REPORT Happenings Thank you very much to Bob and Sarah Edmondson for being the reporters. The June campout was held June 8-10 with early bird on the 7th at Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort in Mayo, FL. The campout was attended by 11 rigs; Rich Gavin, Rich and Pam Frederick, Bob and Sarah Edmondson, Don and Tressa Dishman, Roger and Diane Frederick, Larry and Mary Schmuhl and their guest Armand Hebert, Ken and Kathy Cody, Tom and Kathy Kotheimer and their friends Art and Karen Lacouture, Ken and Sherrie Risberg and Jack and Pat Dean. Early bird arrivals on Thursday were Rich G., Rich and Pam, Bob and Sarah, Tressa and Don, Diane and Roger, Larry, Mary and Armand, Ken and Kath, Tom and Kathy, and Sherrie and Ken. That afternoon we gathered at the pavil- ion for hellos and catching up. The weather was warm and otherwise beautiful for our June campout. Later some played cards while others napped or swam. That evening there were lots of walks around the campground ending at the pavilion to chat. Friday, Pat and Jack and Art and Karen arrived. We gathered at the pavilion once again to visit and let our fur babies greet each other. Tinkerbelle (Sarah and Bob’s) is our fur baby greeter as she becomes excited and makes a fool of herself until she is allowed to get down from her stroller to greet them and then she is fine. Rich and Pam have a new kitten named Mo Trouble. She is adora- ble and spent the weekend in their camper meeting those that stopped by. The campground restaurant Grandma Susie’s Kitchen opened and several had breakfast, while others had lunch and or ice cream. Sherrie, Ken, Kathy, Tom, Kath, Ken C., Tressa, Don, Roger, Diane, and Karen had dinner there before bingo. Friday night was Bingo in the park and Jack, Pat, Sherrie, Tressa, Kathy, Tom, Roger, Diane, Larry, Mary, Art and Karen all played. Sunset Ramblers made a very good haul. Tressa, and Sherrie won a game. Diane won two games including the biggest loser game and then split the cover all pot of $57 with Art. Saturday we gathered at the pavilion once more for fellowship. Tom, Kathy, Pam, Rich, Bob, Sarah, Karen, and Art went for ice cream and or lunch at Grandma’s kitchen, Bob had a very large banana split. One of the employees took a picture of Bob and his banana split for the Suwannee River Rendezvous Facebook page so be sure to check it out. After lunch and ice cream, Pam, Rich F., Mary, Larry, Diane and Roger went swimming in the pool while Sher- rie, Tressa, Kathy, Jack, Pat, Kath, Ken C. and Karen gathered to play games in the dining area. A special thanks to Rich G. and Larry for setting up grills so that at 5:00 the grills could be fired up for our cookout and potluck dinner. Ken R. and Don were just two of the grill chefs and everyone did a great job. Camping Tips

Have two credit cards; each from a different bank. He carries one and she carries the other. If either one loses a wallet you only have to cancel one and still have one to use.

The food was delicious once again. After dinner there were two tables playing Phase 10 at the pavilion while others went to the trivia and karaoke provided by the park. Sunday morning brought the good byes and safe travels until we meet again. See you next campout. We did not have a meeting. The reporter schedule has changed to help people that had changes in their plans. We now need volunteers for November and December. According to the survey, everyone feels the newsletter is important so please check your schedule and volunteer for November or December, thank you! Please be sure to make your reservations for each campout as soon as possible-it helps the campground know how many of us are planning on coming. Thank you for the great support of the monthly food bank collection. Please continue to pray for each other-that’s what helps bind us together as a chapter family.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE OR ARE NOT COMING TO ALL CAMPOUTS. Please send Rich Gavin, wagon master and Pat Dean, presi-dent, an email, or make a phone call with your plans. Communication is im-portant. Campgrounds ask questions, people get worried when you don’t come at your normal time. Their email addresses and telephone numbers are on the front page. Thanks for your cooperation in letting them know your plans. Campouts are held Friday-Sunday with early birds on Thursday or earlier if desired. Please try very hard to make your reservations at least 30 days in ad-vance. Food: Bring your own plate, silverware and drink to any food gathering (paper, plastic, or real-your choice). Friday nights you are on your own to go out to dinner, eat in your rig, or join others for dinner. Please include guests in your dinner plans. Don’t assume someone else has. Saturday nights we will gather for dinner at 5:30. Please let people know ahead of time if you won’t attend above meals-so they won’t worry about you.

Bear tales as reported by Ramblin Bear

So excited to go with Tressa and Don – supposed to head to Michigan at the end of the month. Trip home was fine, but Tressa said she wasn’t feeling too good, so I settled into my little room and let her rest. Bad news, turns out Tressa has shingles. She wouldn’t let me get too near (I haven’t had my shots for that and didn’t want to get sick). Had to miss the High Tea at the church (put on by a gentleman from England who attends their church), and the Fellowship gathering – maybe next time I visit. While she was getting better, Tressa let me watch her as she did some sewing on special projects – sorry we got so busy, we forgot to take pictures. Anyway, it’s fun to watch… Finally got to ‘get out and about’ – heading to a campout with the Sunset Ramblers! Wahoo! I met up with all the folks at Suwannee River Rendezvous, near Mayo, Florida. While folks were sitting around chatting, some youngsters drove up in a ‘mini-Jeep’ (they were going to the pool). They permitted me to sit in it for a while, but, since I didn’t have my driver’s license, I wasn’t allowed to drive it. Sunday morning, Larry and Mary invited me to go with them on a LONG trip – and so – with bags packed, I made the transfer to their motor home. See ya’ll in my write ups – we’re going to be gone at least until the Rally in November! PS While riding around camp with Larry, Mary, Roger and Diane I saw a policeman driving around Suwan-nee Rendezvous. I wanted to go for a ride in a police car. The policeman said he couldn't take bears for a ride but he did say he would hold me by his police car for my picture with him. He was a nice policeman!

Tressa and me in camp on Friday

Check out the jeep-too bad I could not drive it. Such a wonderful policeman!
