Recruitment at Job Fairs In the month of September Desiree from HR

attended two job fairs: one with the Honor a

Hero/Hire a Vet and the other at Jacob Com-

munity Center. She has more to attend this

month. Way to go Desiree for recruiting more

wonderful people to work for HGH!

People with developmental disabilities, their families, caregivers

and the community based providers rallied at 1350 Front Street,

San Diego on September 1st, calling on Toni Atkins and legislative

leaders to keep the promise to people with developmental disabili-

ties. The lack of funding has caused programs to close, putting peo-

ple with developmental disabilities at significant risk.

Kaiser Permanente Health Tip

The Flu 1. The flu is serious. It can cause complica-

tions and hospitalization. 2. The flu shot is your best protection. 3. The flu shot does not give you the flu. 4. Get the flu shot every year. Flu virus

Kaiser Permanente member. 7. Colds are caused by other viruses. The flu

shot doesn’t protect you from the common cold.
