PRESIDENT’S PAGE
Looking back at the last Presidents page a couple of things come to
mind. Thankyou to Bob Beecroft for the security lights protective cages
and the members who attended the clean up working bee inside and out.
The road closure is going to be an on going problem, we have a key to
the gate at the back of the school, which is in a secluded spot in Vern’s
back yard which has to be picked up and returned when we access the
workshop. The new trailer has had it’s first outing to pick up some pallets
from Bunnings. The trailer is housed at the President Len second
driveway behind a padlocked gate, which is opened with a club room
entry key.
Woodshow invited Demonstrators acceptances have been far and few
between, which is par for the course for this time of year. Roadside
signboards have been done along with the banners.
I will be organising new demonstrator name signs this week so things
are progressing.
Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a safe and
prosperous New Year
LEN TAYLOR (Pres).

Vern called on Peter Tacey to present the Tom Tacey award which this year was

explain and present the Les Baldwin Encouragement Award which went to Baden
Howe. Then Baden was called upon for a couple of stories and some bush poetry.

Harvey for the Christmas quiz. The competition for a new toy that can be mass
produced was Neil Armstrong. Tumbling cars on an incline track. The winner for

Christmas at Toolamba
Saturday 26th Novembei 2016
On Saturday Morning 26th November, the club ute was loaded with lathes, tables,
chairs, toys and tools to head over to Toolamba for a 4pm start.
We were in the same spot inside the hall as we had last year. setup lathes, toy ta-
bles and toys and members items for sale. Geoff Pinkerton, Joe Ganino, Helen
Smith, Geoff and Annie Baker and Len Taylor. Christmas tree's that Pinky was
turning were very popular, the shopping bag carry handles were appreciated.
Helen and Geoff turned some pens, While Joe and Annie did some burning. Noel
Ryan arrived and looked after the raffle which was slow with only 16 tickets sold.
Some toys and members items sold but the crowd numbers were down on previ-
ous )rears, may have been the cold wind kept people away.
Hamburgers and ice cream were good and it wasn't long before it was time to pack
up and go back to the club rooms and unload, thanks to members who supported
the night
Len Taylor.

News Letter When the proposal to make the general meetings by-monthly is de-
cided I hope to add one more sheet of paper making an extra 4 pages, This should
allow larger photo's o show and tell that can be seen. However this could upset the
collating when we print. I do believe Neil will sort it out for us.
