CLEAN WORKSHOP
Every one is expected to clean up when finished, not leave it to the next
member to use the machine. If everyone cleans when they are finished the
last clean is just as easy as the first. Also can every one see that the
benches are clean and not cluttered with toys etc. The Wednesday night
supervisors have to clear the benches so that the members have
somewhere to work
Thanks

SHOW & TELL APRIL 2017
COLLECTING THE LIQUIDAMBER
TIMBER MILL UP AND RUNNING.
On Sunday 23rd April, 2017, Len, Chris, Perrie, Willis, Bob, Max, Alex
and Ray headed to the Nicholson property at Caniambo to give the club
timber mill its first major run to slab a large Liquid Amber tree. On
arrival at the property the tree was already on the ground ready to be
‘attacked’. Once all the small branches were removed we then set about
cutting the trunk into some great slabs of timber. The mill ran like
clockwork without any hiccups, and as a result we cut some great slabs,
varying in colour and size. The slabs have a moisture content of
approx. 20% and are currently stored in the container and, once dry, will
make some fantastic raffle prizes, etc.
Thanks to the beautiful weather and a well-oiled machine we had a very
successful day. Thanks to those who attended and assisted on the day.
Chris
