The House on Pine StreetBy Eleanor Berkenblit

The drive to camp is long especially when there is traffic. Fortunately, my mom is the queen of back roads, and she took us a different way. • What I Would Do in Bill Gates HouseBy Ciaran Murphy and Casey Corcoran

Ciaran:First, I would ask if his exercise area had a baseball field. Then, I would

play home run derby. Then, if Casey was with me, we would explore high and low. Our goal would be to find all of the 24 bathrooms, 7 bedrooms, 6 kitchens, and then I would swim in the 18x60 square foot pool. Then, I would exercise on the treadmills walking. Then, I would tell Casey that I was going to try to find the 2 secret bookcases in his library, and if he wanted to join me. If we found the bookcases, then I would read the 1500s book by Leonardo Da Vinci that Gates bought for 30.8 million dollars. Then, I would agree with Casey to hide in 1 or 2 of the 66,000 Square feet of floor space in the house. I bet that it would take hours for him to find me if I go far enough away!!! I do have a problem with laughing when Im hiding while the person who is trying to find me is in the same room. Thats why I dont win in hide and seek much. Thats also why my family does not play hide and seek in my family much, but if I was in Bill Gates house, I could have a 65,998 of 66,000 chance. Then, we would have a snack in the closest one of the 6 kitchens in his house it would be about 3:00 PM when we would finish we would play with a tennis ball that I would bring. Then, if we could not find all of the things on the list to find we would try to finish it at 3:30. Then, when we finished, we would have dinner in a different kitchen, and it would be a huge feast . Then, we would sit by one of the 6 fireplaces and warm up a little bit, it being about 50 or 60 degrees outside. Then, we would have dessert and start unpacking our overnight items that, for me, would be: a sleeping bag, my pillow pet, and if it got really cold, I would bring a hot water bottle to warm up my feet, but that would mean it would have to be -45 or under, which would be a possibility in Washington State. Then, the next day we would try more to find the 2 secret bookcases if we had not found them the day before. Then, if we had not gone to the underground part of the house and explore if we hadnt gotten to it the first day because we got interrupted by, say, a I need a snack moment. Or lunch time. That could be a possible. Only by a small breakfast, though. Now that I think about it, a bathroom break could do it to. Just before lunch, Casey and I would share jokes and laughs. Then, we would eat lunch. That would be simple just maybe a ham sandwich, some fresh milk, and a cookie would do. I would know that there 6 kitchens for snacks to hold me over until dinner. That would be fine with me, as long as I didnt disrupt one of our games. If I really had to we would both get a snack, just in case Casey needed one too. That would be during a game of walking tag. Then we would have a banquet for dinner then we would go to bed. On the final day of our stay we would look at everything in the house, only interrupted by a simple lunch of a turkey sandwich, a glass of fresh milk, and of course, a cookie, and dinner would be steak, hamburgers, salad, chips, bacon, sausages, and an ice cream sundae for dessert. Then we would be driven to the airport with our families and then we would fly home.

Casey:If I were at Bill Gates house, I would walk in the main entrance and

basically just pretend it was a really cool maze. I would explore the different rooms and I would try to get to know the house like it was the back of my hand (although how well do you really know the back of your hand)? I would try not to get into anything I wasnt supposed to, but I would try to find some secret rooms. I would go to the library, where there are two secret rotating bookshelves. After that I would try to find Ciaran in an epic game of hide and seek.

  • Top Ten Things To Do on a Summer Weekend with Your FamilyBy Eleanor Berkenblit

10.) Yard work and reading: It is actually fun to weed in the yard or clear a path in your back woods. I also like to sit and read on the sunny deck with a cold drink. When the whole family is out there reading (or in the hammock) it is so peaceful. Especially in the afternoon.

9.) Beach trip: Take a trip to the beach and splash in the waves! It is so fun to pack a picnic lunch and spend the day at the beach. There is something for everyone: sandcastles, swimming, burying each other (or dad!). And most importantly, there is ice cream! Who could go wrong with that?

8.) Dessert competition: Ever heard of the show on Food Network called Chopped? That is what we did at our house. We had our parents pick a mandatory ingredient (or two), and my sister and I competed. We had to make a dessert that tasted delicious and was colorful and fun. You could also reverse it so that your parents compete. It is a great way to bring the family together (even if you do pick a winner).

7.) Picnic: Pack up some lunch and snacks, head to the park, and set up camp. There are plenty of beautiful parks and reserves near me, and Im sure there are some near you. The whole family can find something to do after eating. If there is a lake or a pond near by, that might be a nice place to go. You can swim, play frisbee, play tag, and more. You could also bring a friend along for more fun.

6.) Adventure: Go on a little adventure. Explore places near you that you have never been. For example, my family and I biked to King Philips Road and we found a secret path to King Philips rock! Right near our house! It was lots of fun to hike through the woods together without knowing where we were going. That type adventure is great for everybody.

5.) Hike: Its great to get outside with a hike. If there is a nature center near you, that would be a great place to go. Near me there is Mass Audubons Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a nature reserve, and they a have beautiful wooded trails. There is also a camp with great counselors.

4.) Swimming: Jump in a pool or a lake with your family and have tons of fun! It is a great to cool off on a hot day, and there are plenty of pool games to play. You can even make some up!

3.) Kayaking: Its a great workout for your arms. You can swim afterwards. Bring a water gun and squirt each other when you least expect it. During a sunset, it is beautiful to be on the water.

2.) Biking: Get some exercise or use them as a mode of travel. Bikes are great for a sunny day, but dont forget to bring lots of water! My family goes to Cape Cod for a week each summer and the Cape Cod Rail Trail is a great place to bike.

1.) Water gun/water balloon fight: Put some buckets in the driveway or around the yard, blow up some balloons, grab your family and maybe a friend, and have a great time. We bought special water balloon fillers that come with 300 water balloons, and we have a few water guns. It is great to cool off. I love to run around to house to ambush my parents. Its so fun!

Or...you could try all of these to have a blast! Make this summer a ton of fun with your family!

  • Bright, airy prefab cabin in the woodsBy the Daily DunicornOur best site related to the subject was http://curbed.com/archives/2015/07/10/prefab-homes-for-sale.php This beautiful, modern inside, second home costs only $399k! Compared to many of the others, thats not much! This one is fully built and ready to go, located on the Lost River, Mathias, West Virginia. Also, it is fully furnished. It is not yet owned, but our guess is that it will be soon. It has previously been owned by a Washington D.C. area family, who originally had it built in 2008. They had wanted a remote but comfortable woodsy second home and weekend retreat, that they could rent out as well. The house itself takes up 2,048 square feet. Designed by NYC-based RESOLUTION:4 ARCHITECTURE, the main floor has a master bedroom, kitchen, a living room, and a dining area, but the lower floor has a gaming room, family room, and the other bedrooms. It is so pretty it was featured in the movie Dwell Floors are bamboo wood, cabinets maple wood, and countertops granite. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light throughout the main level, and lead to a large deck overlooking the 30 acres of unrestricted land surrounding, and included, with the property. The house is very airy and artsy, and there are rarely hallways or doors to each room. Kids rooms have queen beds, large dressers, and rocking bean bag seats. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom (Although the kids share one.). Japanese technology based fireplaces and toilets, black and orange living rooms, wow! This house is pretty great!

  • What I Wish my House Looked Like By Sophie Biro

Everyone in the Daily Double is obsessing over all the most expensive and gigantic houses in the world; I decided to write about my own dream house. The outdoors part is huge. Its 10 miles of outdoor things, and then 100 miles that I just own around my house. The location is on the top of a HUGE mountain (I take a helicopter to get down) where I can get a views of the Boston Skyline to the the mountains in New Hampshire. Im going to start off with the pool. The pool itself is actually made with fresh water because I hate chlorine. There are five different sections. Theres the water slide, which includes a water slide out my window and a many different rides. Thats also the start and end of the lazy river, which takes you all around the mountain views (its about 5 miles long). Then, theres the lap lane part. Its a really wide lap lane thats kept at 80 degrees (perfect for swimming). The third part of the pool is just a pool, which has a mural of the ocean on the bottom. There are speakers both above and underwater to play music. The fourth part is the pool bar. There are seats inside and outside of the water where you can order pretty much any food you want. The fifth part is the hot tub. Theres a T.V you can see, seats that feel like couches, and control system that can different parts of the hot tub as cool or as hot as you want. The pool has a paved deck with lots of charis. Theres a fire pit with couches around it, a grill with a table for eating, an outdoor shower, and a glass patio that goes off the mountain that makes you feel like youre flying. The woods each have their own climate control so theres 20 miles of winter woods (with a ski mountain) 20 miles of fall woods (the trees are always really pretty), spring woods (with flowers and a hiking trail) and the summer woods) with a waterfall.

Now for the inside. Its HUGE! It has about 5 miles of floor space. There are a ton of bedrooms (maybe 200) for guests. Ive decided that since I have nothing better to do with my life, I would probably host giant parties that last for a week, so this is where everyone would stay. On this side of the house, there is also an indoor pool (its not super fancy though) and giant party, dining, living, and family rooms. But thats not

as important as MY side of the house. There are 10 bedrooms on this side, 1 for me, and 9 for regular guests, (my parents, my 7 best friends, and one for any other family that stays over). Im not going to into to detail about the other rooms, but Ill just say that they cost about 1.5 million dollars each. My room, though, costs about 100 million dollars. Its hexagon shaped, so it has 6 different walls. The first wall is just a giant fish tank. This wall is parallel to my bed, so I can stare at it for hours and hours. The next wall is made up of all different blue gems. Around it, theres a flat screen T.V. and giant beanbag chair for watching T.V. The next wall is blue tiles, and theres a waterfall that runs across the tiles. On this wall theres a door to my bathroom, which Im not going to elaborate on because then this article would be too long. Anyways, the next wall is a mural of a beach, and my bed is on this wall too. The next wall is just all glass and gives me a view of the mountains. My, I have a lot of chairs here. The last wall is blue whiteboard paint, where my desk is so I can write on the wall. And in the middle is A POOL! Im not going to talk about the other rooms (yet) so bye!!!!!!!!!

If you were wondering why mine and Sophie Biros article (All of the States) had so many typos, this is why. • Trapped all together in FunkeBy Patricia Arens

Once upon a time, there was this humongous and expensive house named Funke. Everybodys dream was to visit it, or at least to see its windows, which were all covered with yummy banana pudding. Nobody has ever had enough money to own it, not even for one week. But five friends who have been united for their whole life, Julia, Freddie, Brian, Roger and Kerry, liked to have as much money as possible. They have never spent it without a good reason and they have saved every dollar.

Their life goal was to be the richest friends on Earth. Their plan was to buy Funke and to charge people who wanted to visit it. But what they didnt know is that people didnt buy Funke not only because of money reasons, but also because this house haD (and still has) some unknown and dangerous secrets.

Kerry and her mates didnt care at all; their pointless wishes blinded them. So they did it! They bought Funke and they started exploring it. But was so big...you needed at least one lifetime to get to see every little detail, every small corner. It was like Louvre, but much bigger. Suddenly, the friends realized that they could get lost easily. The only possibility was to stay together, to never leave each other. Before they could explore the first room, the living room, which had chocolate armchairs (not all the furniture was made out of sweets, dont worry!), Brian complained that he was thirsty. The kitchen was empty, so they had to leave Funke and buy some food and water (maybe tea, I am not that sure about Brians preferences). When they tried to open the front door, the five friends realized that they were trapped inside! None remembered that he had locked it, though. They tried to open it with a key, but it was useless. Neither the windows could be opened! Roger started to panic and Julia too. But Brian remained calm. He knew this day was about to come. They have been selfish and greedy their whole life and here was that was their punishment: trapped together with their money, which was everything they cared about. The others didnt agree, though. They were sure it was a technical problem. Kerry was on Brians side. And this is why they separated their ways...Kerry and Brian tried to apologies for their mistakes; Roger, Julia and Freddie went to search for the technical problem. Who do you think was right? Brian and Kerry, for sure!

It took one whole day for the others to realize that it was a huge mistake to leave Brian and Kerry behind. But know they couldnt find each other anymore in that big house! They have looked in most of the rooms, but they were just running in circles. Eventually, they found each other. Five friends in the same room, in Funke. They apologised and they decided not to leave the group anymore. They realized that their friendship was more important than the annoying money. Funke has teached them all an amazing lesson! At that point, all the doors opened and the friends left to tell the world about their adventure.

I am sure that they didnt want to be rich anymore. Their knowledge, happiness and love already made them rich.

  • How to Build a Mansion in MinecraftBy Ben Fogler

Step 1: You need a lot of quartz- quartz can be found in the NETHER.

Step 2: Outline what you would want your house to look like. Example:

Step 3. Make pillars made of quartz in the corners of your mansion and make them 7 blocks high.

Step 4. Make the outlines of your roof slanting upward.

Step 5. Fill in everything with quartz. For the roof you have an option of filling it in with regular quartz, half-slab quartz, and stair quartz.

Step 6. Then make your rooms. Here are some rooms that a mansion needs: - Bathroom - Living room - Front hall - Between 1-4 bedrooms

Step 7. Put down carpets everywhere!Tips:

    - You can also build your mansion out of

wood.- Add pillar quartz in many

places as columns.- Make a garden in the back- every mansion has a garden. If you want to make your garden extra awesome, add a barbeque and statues.- If you want to make your mansion a secret base as well, you can add a secret underground cave hidden from everyone else but you.

Veronica Mars is Destroying My Existence: ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SEEN EVERY EPISODE+THE MOVIE (part one)By Nina Kahn

(this article will be focusing on the major non-villains)Okay, if youre reading this and you havent finished watching

Veronica Mars, STOP READING.So...here I shall discuss the characters, plot lines, and other stuff

about the always fabulous Veronica Mars. As you may know, Im obsessed. Really, its a problem. This show is just too good. Part one of this lil series of articles will be focusing on the major characters. Here we go! Veronica Mars: As the main character, one expects her to be the best. Veronica is just that! Shes clever, funny, and though she can shut out others, extremely compassionate. Shes had to put up with a lot of crap over the years and is the most hardcore person on the show. Girls got skills. Logan Echolls: *agitated sigh* This ones tough. Logans a very well-written character; Hes evil, but warmhearted. Hes impulsive, yet wise. He has DEFINITELY had his dark times (most of the show tbh), but he does everything with somewhat good intentions. Once you finish the movie, youll definitely be a Logan fan. Hes definitely a problematic fave. Stosh Piz Piznarski: Aww, Piz. A precious cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure. My awkward, artsy child. Sure, he beat up Logan a few times, but to be fair, it was self-defense. Logan was a jerk for a good portion season 3. Its kind of sad that we didnt see Piz that much, but during his time on the show, he made it in my Top 10 VMars characters. Its saddening that he was only in season 3 for a small time AND the movie for like, 10 minutes. Needless to say, Im a Piz fangirl. Wallace Fennel: Good ole Wallace. His friendship with Veronica is one of the best Ive seen. Their combined sass, wit, and bravery make them the dream team of the show. That said, Wallace sometimes made rash decisions, like skipping town with his newly found biological dad. At the end of the day, though, hes a great person. Keith Mars: Keith is the dad we all wish we had (it rhymes!). Hes sweet, funny, and generally the only decent father on the show. Seriously, all the other dads are awful. Cindy Mac Mackenzie: Much like Piz, Mac is a cinnamon roll (I should stop using that phrase). Shes also wicked smart and adorably awkward. We dont see Mac be emotional in many scenes, which is disappointing, but, again like Piz, what we do see is great. Eli Weevil Navarro: Okay, let me get this out. WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED IN THE END OF THE MOVIE. HE JUST LEFT ON HIS BIKE. *calms down* So, Weevil is awesome. Hes kind, hes courageous, and he has a strong sense of right and wrong. He always stood up for Veronica and wasnt afraid to show his sensitive side, even if it contradicted his biker outer shell. #weevil4life

    Stay Tuned for part 2!

  • Awesome HousesBy Sophie and Lily Biro, the Daily Dunicorn, and Orly Shiner

Wow! This is chaotic! All four of us are on this one doc at once. We bring you these amazing ten AWESOME houses for the super Friday issue. We have described all ten in great detail, and ordered them by our liking.

The AntillaThis is the ultimate house. Its in South Mumbai, and its worth a billion dollars (so far, once they finish putting everything in it will be 2 billion dollars). Its 27 stories tall, and has 400,000 sq. feet. This house is owned by Mukesh Ambani, who bought this land from an orphanage (were a bit disappointed about that) and now has this house, which we all know is mostly just to show off how much money he has. Though the outside is quite as great as the inside (it just looks like your average skyscraper) they did design it to be able to withstand an 8-Richter scale earthquake, just in case that actually happens. It has a multi-story garage that can fit up to 168 cars, and there is one floor just for guests. Though the outside is pretty cool, the inside is AWESOME!!! The architects were Perkins and Will, Chicago designers, and I give them all the credit, because this house is the coolest thing ever. Lets talk about how he uses his 27 floors. We know that he uses 6 for his garage, 1 for guests, 1 level for exercising, and 1 for entertainment (movie theater, etc.). The other 18? Probably all for him. This house has a ton of really cool rooms, like a movie theater with 40 seats, a huge ballroom covered in crystals, a giant lobby that leads to powder rooms (a fancy room just to put on your makeup), a dining room that serves 100, a wine room with a snack bar, an auditorium with a huge stage, and a covered room with windows giving you a great view of the skyline, just in case you cant go outside and look at it yourself. Plants line the garage that keep the room cool (theyre really expensive plants). All of the the ceilings are super high. This house also includes nine elevators. Thats nine more elevators than my house has!!! In the bathrooms, there are many Indian designs. For example, the Gingko-Leaf-style sinks. The stems of the leaves are designed so that the stems lead the water into the bowl. So thats the house! Wouldnt you like to live there? There is also a health level including a lap pool and Jacuzzi that have views of the city skyline, as well as lounge chairs shaded by trees. Yoga and dance studios, changing rooms for men and women, gyms and a solarium with a juice

bar fill out the interior space. There are plans to include an ice room in the center space, where you can sit in a man-made snow flurry.

The Penthouse In MonacoAt the top of the Tour Odeon, which is the tallest building in Monaco, France (at 49 stories and 558 feet tall), is the penthouse, which is worth 250 million dollars and has 35,521 square feet of floor space and 5 floors. The penthouse is made of blue reflective glass, which gives all rooms view of the town, which is built into the mountains, and on the water. This penthouse was designed by Alberto Pinto, and will be completely finished in about 30 years (seems like a lot, but building a luxury 49-story apartment building takes some time). One of (or at least we think) the coolest features of this residence is the waterslide that goes from indoors to the giant, circular pool, where there is also a giant balcony that has a ton of beach chairs and umbrellas. On the inside, there are big bathrooms with modern styles, wall-to-wall windows showing awesome views, and and your own private elevator. And if thats not enough for you, theres an indoor pool styled with fancy greek architecture, a masseuse with a spa and hot tub, a Victorian dining room with crystal chandeliers, and a chauffeur that drives a porche. Plus, you dont even have to go outdoors for fun! If youre sick of the same 35,521 square feet all of the time, then you can go explore the rest of the Tour Odeon, which has another private pool, a wellness center, a parking garage with space for 543 cars (and theres only 279 residences, so everyone gets room for two cars, but the spaces are so big you could probably squeeze in a third), and many boats that you can rent to go out on the water. Overall, this house would get a nine out of ten, only because (though we dont know much about billionaires) it might be nicer to have a house away from a busy city. But overall, we would LOVE to live here!!!!!

Bill Gates HouseThis high-tech 66,000 square feet in Medina, Washington is worth $123 million. Its located on a river bank and looks like a giant log cabin. There are trees all around it, which gives Bill Gates plenty of privacy. When guests arrive, theyre given a pin that interacts with sensors located all over the house. Guests enter their temperature and lighting preferences so that the settings change as they move throughout the home. Speakers hidden behind the walls follow your music preference for you from room to room. It is built around the environment, which means the heating and cooling system is more efficient. You can press a

  • button to change the artwork in the house - in fact there are 80,000 dollars worth of art screens. The painting and photos that are stored on a device worth $150,000. (thats not a lot of money for him, he earns $4 million every night). Theres a movie theater with 20 seats and couches and a popcorn machine! Theres also an awesome pool that has its own underwater sound system, and a trampoline room thats 20 feet high. There are also 24 bathrooms, 6 kitchens, and a guest house. The sand on the beach was imported from the Caribbean, and theres a tree that is monitored 24 hours a day. There is a stream artificially stocked with salmon and trout. Overall, this house is really cool and we all agree that this would be an AWESOME house to live in. In fact someone paid $34,000 dollars just to tour it.

The PinnacleWhen you first see this house, your first thought is Wow! What a nice hotel! This location is right on a ski mountain (at least, one for the owner), is HUGE, and has many, many entrances. But then, you realize that its not as hotel at all. Its a $155 million, 10 bedroom ski house. This house is in the ideal location. Its part of a neighborhood that is reserved for only billionaires (seems stupid, I know) and is located on a ski mountain in Montana. The outside is awesome, with a heated driveway, polished oak exterior, many windows, and a fancy entrance that looks like one at a hotel (a chauffeur waiting to park your car and a roof) and right behind a mountain. The views are AWESOME - white snow and skiers in the winter, and green trees and flowers heading towards the clouds in the winter. One more thing about the exterior - theres a personal chairlift! Thats right, a chairlift running for you so that whenever you want to ski, you can! The inside is just as cool, fireplaces and heated floors in every single room and tons of windows showing you the mountain. The bedrooms are beautiful, with giant beds with comfy blankets and fireplaces the keep the rooms warm. I would LOVE to live in this house, because being able to ski every day and have 10 bedrooms in my house sounds really cool.

1181 North Hillcrest RoadThis $85 million dollar house is located in Hillcrest Hills, California. The location itself is already worth about 10 million dollars - a private

hill with views of the L.A. skyline to the shores of Malibu. This house was designed by Trousdale Estates and is newly built. Plus, it just went on the market - so if youre willing to spend the money, its yours! This house has 23,000 square feet, 8 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, three floors, and 1 acre of land. While weve researched, weve seen a TON of cool houses, but nothing like this. First off, theres the outside. Unlike most giant houses weve seen, from the front, it looks semi-normal (or at least as normal as a 85 million dollar house can get). Theres a driveway that in the middle, with one side going to the garage (but you cant really call it a garage when theres a couch, five REALLY nice, expensive cars, and its own bathroom, can you?), and one side that goes to the front door, which is really modern and is made of glass. Though the front of the house looks unimpressive, the backyard (again, it feels weird to really call this a backyard) has so many cool features. They include: an infinity pool, (pool that looks like it never ends) giant hot tub giving you exclusive views, a ton of really nice chairs chairs and tables, and automatic sliding glass doors. Then, we get to the inside, which is SUPER nice. The bedrooms all have their own sitting rooms and bathrooms, and each bedrooms is designed to look different and equally modern and awesome. Other cool features of this house include giant marble bathrooms, a HUGE wine cellar, many sitting rooms, lots of windows, fountains that flow into the pool, and (our favorite :) a CANDY WALL! Thats right, just a wall FILLED with candy jars! This house is AWESOME!!

$6,100,000 house on Sovereign Islands!Believe it or not, its currently on a sale. Costing $6,100,000 and considered a gold-class-home, it is found at 22 Royal Albert Crescent Sovereign Islands Qld 4216. This house, as well, is incredibly modern, and takes up 9,321 square feet. It is currently owned by Amir Mian and his company, and designed by the award-winning David Callison. It has a massive glass entry door, leading to an art-filled mudroom with a crystal chandelier. Wall-covering windows, high ceilings, and the latest technology are found around every corner. Automatons, wall controls, and remotes controlling lights, music, TV, pools, heating, curtains, and the not-well-described lighting (??). Some other features include a state-of-the-art kitchen, a large office, a cinema with a whole-wall screen and massage chairs, an elegant library with beanbag chairs close to a large wine closet, garage for eight cars, a generator room with generators for the whole house, and a workshop.

  • The Dover Public LibraryArticle and Pictures by Hannah Ireland, Ioana Marinescu, Caroline Bedikian, and Sophia Noseworthy for

    Photojournalism class

The Dover Library; the place where many kids and adults come to read and do activities. Have you ever wondered about its history? How the library came to be the way it is? Here are some facts about the beautiful and wonderful Dover Library.

The Dover library was built in 1965 and renovated in 1995.

They changed a lot throughout the library.

Added electronics such as iPads, windows computers, and gaming systems.

They put out different objects in each section that matches the category to take home.

The library has board games and super awesome funtime that usually includes sixty to ninety people.

They keep many cooking and kitchen tools you can borrow for two weeks. They even have a power washer that people can use for their one time use.

  • Other options include borrowing board games and gaming consoles. You can actually play the wii, xbox, and video games right in the library downstairs.

Nothing is better than having food so they make bread on Wednesdays and all people are free to bring in any snacks or food.

Library director: Cheryl Abdullah talked to us a lot about the economic decision it was to provide kids with technology, books, and the internet. 15 years ago the Gates Foundation decided to give every library at least one computer.

Cheryl when taking control of the library, changed it so that all members could have fun while being at the library. Loudness is encouraged.

They rarely say no to anything

The library is also bigger than it seems from the outside, it is better and far more big than you would expect. It was for sure worth the visit.

  • Carondelet PalaceBy Alex Hailman

During the spring of 2015 I, Alex Hailman, went to Ecuador. I stayed for a couple nights in Quito, the capital, but mostly I spent time on a boat in the Galpagos islands. This article isnt about that though! While in Quito, I visited the Carondelet Palace. The Carondelet Palace is a bit like the White House because the President lives there. Its a lot bigger, though, and its literally called a Palace. It also has old-fashioned guards, similar to the Beefeaters of England. It was named the Carondelet Palace by Simon Bolivar, the great (mutton-chopped) South American revolutionary. He named it that because it was owned by the Baron of Carondelet. Recently, certain parts of it have been converted into a museum, with display cases about the cultural heritage of Ecuador. Thats all I know about it, though, I only spent a couple of days in mainland Ecuador. Glad to have shared it though!
