RESULT SPECIAL – 2020
WORDS OF GRATITUDE
Dear students, now you are the hero of your own story. Your academic accomplishment in these crucial classes has proved that you are more competent than you believed, energetic than you seem and empowered than you think. The blend of your right mindset and the right teaching resources given by your zealous teachers affirm our belief that together we can achieve greater heights. I pray that you keep the same zeal as a launch pad for any progress that you dream for yourself.
Dear students always focus to be a blessing for others- your classmates, friends, family and anyone who you connect with at any point of time. Then you unknowingly receive abundant blessings from the Almighty.
Our heartfelt gratitude to our loving teachers, who donning the Bethany culture of selflessness and dedication, work tirelessly to empower the children entrusted to them.
We earnestly thank our parents, our invaluable resources, who have always played their role ideally as educational partners, communicated their aspirations, reposed their trust in us and shared our commitment to impart knowledge that would help the children become positive, learned and happy beings.
Holding on to hope that our progressive approach will enthuse us always and enable us to carry on our purpose selflessly, I thank the Lord abundantly and joyously and pray for His Blessed showers on each one of us.
Sister Reshmi BSPrincipal
‘From the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature are in all what He made …' And children -His tender craft, have an immeasurable power to amaze us creating unlimited possibilities. The colours of happiness spilled around when the AISSCE, class XII and the AISSE, class X results were declared by the CBSE.
. My students have lived up to what I believed in them. Each one has made a difference, contributing with his/her consistent hard work and dedication to achieve, and all of them together have made us immensely proud by achieving much coveted positions both at the State and at the District level. My heartiest congratulations to all my triumphant students, my assiduous staff members and ever supportive parents!
We cannot thank you enough for the efforts put in sincerely
to take the school to greater heights of glory and strengthen
our purpose of life. These academic accolades have
befittingly complemented the Centenary Celebrations of our
Bethany Congregation that was born 100 years ago to serve
and empower the people through education.
RESULT SPECIAL
FROM THE VICE - PRINCIPAL
XII Humanities has broken all the past records by scoring 99.8% is the reflection of the constant dedication showed by the teachers and students. It is also a display of excellent collaboration and the combination between the best teaching faculty and the equally receptive minds. It is essential to accentuate the contribution and the supportive innings played by every person who is associated with the school.
Congratulations are due to everyone who prayed for us so that we may succeed and those who wished well for our triumph. SACRED HEARTIANS do not stop here but will tirelessly continue to toil. The hard work of the students, the grades that they have achieved and made us all happy count a lot. However, in the final analysis, what will count more is the choices we make, the values we live and the service to society that we render. When the school sets a high standard of excellence, let us all set a high standard of life that is guided by LOVE. In this challenging time of Covid-19 we pray that our out-going students make the right choices in their life.
Sister (Dr) Reena D'Souza
The sweet fruits are not just the efforts of the flowers or the branches but are the efforts of the underground roots along with the fertile soil. As we appreciate the sweet fruits or the excellent Board results of X and XII of this academic year (AISSCE 2019-2020) due to the hard work of our students, we also acknowledge and appreciate the uphill struggle of our entire Sacred Heart Team who played the role of the roots and the fertile soil. We are aware that it is in a suitable school and the home atmosphere that our students flourish and bloom. The committed, teaching and non-teaching staff, the guidance of the sisters and continuously cooperating parents, without any doubt, played a pivotal role in the life of our students and their success.
Taking forward the legacy of setting benchmarks in excellence, the Sacred Heart School has once again unfurled the flag of success in the field of Education. That Gurveen Kaur of Std

From sheltering and nurturing us like a buttery in a cocoon to grooming us to spread our wings to y and directing us to pursue our hopes and dreams, Sacred Heart Convent School has helped us to become who we are today.
It has been my good fortune to become a part of the Sacred Heart Fraternity. The school has shaped the best years of my life, turning me into a courageous and condent person.
From participating in school functions as an orator, to winning a lot of inter and intra school debates and declamation contests , to being a part of the school cabinet as a House Leader, discipline in-charge and nally the SCHOOL PREFECT, my years at school were replete with milestones. And today, with the grace of God, I feel immense pleasure on becoming the STATE TOPPER with 99.8 % result in class 12th CBSE exams and bringing pride and glory to my beloved school. Today the motto of my school, "THROUGH DUTY TO GLORY" embedded in me seems to be fullled.
“The harder you work for something the greater you will feel when you achieve it”. This is exactly how I felt when I accessed my grade 12 result. Achieving an aggregate of 98.6% and becoming the commerce topper was a very ecstatic and joyful feeling. I want to express a deep sense of gratitude to my parents, respected sisters and teachers for guiding me and bringing the best out of me. Being a Sacred Heartian gave me numerous memorable experiences which helped me shape my personality and inculcate the values of peace and compassion. Hard work, sincerity, discipline, being self-condent and courageous is what I learnt at Sacred Heart. With same passion and enthusiasm I aim to fulll my future endeavours of making a difference to the society and becoming an alumni, my school will be proud of.
I, Akriti Arora, owe my success to my school and teachers who have always
been supportive and hardworking. They guided and helped me through
everything. Without the help of my teachers, it would never have been possible.
I'll always be grateful to my school which provided me with the best teachers
and peers who always provided a competitive and motivating environment for
studies and taught some of the important life lessons.
I am thankful to God that I got the opportunity to study in Sacred Heart
Convent School.
‘'The last couple of years of school have been the most challenging and
unforgettable years of my life. The support of my school, my teachers, parents
and friends allowed me to overcome all the academic and personal challenges I
faced in this time. Maintaining a healthy sleep schedule and taking out time
every day to relax and play helped me keep my body fresh and my mind ready
to learn more. Working consistently everyday made it possible for me to attain
my goals. With the grace of God, I will continue to make my family and school
proud in the times to come.''

To have fourteen years of schooling culminate with accolades is indeed a testament of
God's bounty. But this success cannot be attributed merely to serendipity. It is an
endeavour behind which lies the persistent efforts of a number of people. The sheer
tenacity with which the teachers of our school invested their time and effort into
strengthening our hold on the subjects is laudable. This uphill battle could not have
been won solely by my own perseverance, without the unrelenting assistance of my
Principal, Vice Principal, Coordinator, teachers and parents, and the hours of
meticulous labour that they put in, to ensure that we had a cornucopia of useful
academic resources at our disposal, which ultimately bore fruit.
I owe my entire success to my Principal Sr. Reshmi and my teachers. They had put in
intense efforts to help us to score high. Rather than focusing on results or marks, they
had put emphasis on information and knowledge. Our teachers were extremely
supportive and never let us feel any kind of pressure. I would like to thank my family
members who always encouraged me to do my best.
When I took admission in this school in XI Medical, I never thought that one day I will
be among those students who will bring laurels to the school. The rst person who
showed condence in me was our worthy Principal Sr. Reshmi. Whenever she would
meet me, she would ask me about my class tests, exams and always gave me her
best wishes for my future. I consider myself lucky that I got such dedicated and
talented teachers who taught me the syllabus as well as life lessons. Being regular to
school and regular class tests were the reasons that I never felt like going for tuitions.
The teaching in class was enough to clear the concepts.
I still remember, my rst day when I entered the gates of Sacred Heart as a timid and shy girl. Little did I know that this was the beginning of a beautiful journey which would ultimately mould me into a condent and successful teenager. The charismatic combination of consistency, regularity, hard-work, prayers and perseverance led to the prosperous termination of my endeavours here at Sacred Heart with an excellent result of 98.4% in class 12 commerce.
I attribute my success to my pillars of strength-my parents, respected sisters and dear teachers, who helped me to discover my true potential, overcome the fear of losing and chase the excitement of winning.
Sacred Heart Convent School, my alma mater, indeed made these 14 years of my
life pleasant and indelible.
“Hard work and self belief are the most important components of success’’
I am very grateful to my teachers and my parents who have always guided me. I had put in extra efforts for my exams by practicing accountancy and mathematics regularly. Being regular to school and attending all classes attentively also aided me in achieving a good result.
Dear future aspirants, pay attention to the little guidelines given by teachers at all times. The classroom tests conducted by the teachers will help you revise thoroughly.
I would like to thank the school faculty for making me believe in myself. I could
never imagine stepping on the victory ladder without the constant support of my
teachers and guardians

NOW! AIMING FOR THE ZENITH
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you
have, the more you will have to express gratitude for”thThe afternoon of 15 July, the date of declaration of class X results, remains etched in
my mind as one of the most glorious moments of my life. The initial amazement and then
happiness spreading all over me was the most wonderful feeling in the world. I am
greatly indebted to my extended family here at Sacred Heart- The Principal, Vice
Principal and my teachers who were a constant source of motivation throughout. This
monumental success would surely not have been achieved without the seless
dedication of my teachers, the uninching support of the parents and the work ethic
inculcated in me by the school. I shall conclude by quoting Walt Disney, “The way to get
started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
"To achieve something that you have never achieved before, you must become someone
that you have never been before."
Implementing this strategy in your life will denitely push you to become your better self. I
would like to express my gratitude to all those who have put in their efforts to help me
become a better version of myself. From my parents who laid a strong foundation of
values, to my teachers who constructed an edice with bricks of knowledge and my
friends and all the well-wishers for enlightening it.
Lady Excellence is difcult to impress. You cannot achieve her in one go. To achieve
excellence, quit doing less-than-excellent work and learn to trust yourself.
I, Pankhuri Dawar, feel very honoured to be a part of the Sacred Heart Family. With thGod's grace, I have been able to achieve 98.2% in my CBSE class 10 Board Result with
99% in the 'best of ve' subjects. I have received a lot of wishes and blessings for my little
success and I would like to thank all the people who found their happiness in mine. First
of all, I would like to thank the Almighty God for always being there by my side. Apart
from God, my parents, my inspiring teachers and the rest of the faculty of the School who
always taught me to have a positive attitude towards life have lent me the wings to soar
high. Their psychological support and care never let me down. The teachers were the
ones who always claried my doubts and answered my incessant queries. A healthy
environment created in school by our worthy Principal and Vice Principal Sr. Reshmi and
Sr. Reena is worth appreciating.thI would like to tell all the class 10 aspirants and juniors to set the goals from the
beginning, learn to manage the time and try to be consistent in performance by working
hard from the very rst day of the session. Keep in mind that nothing is impossible if you
are determined to achieve it.

FROM AN ACORN TO A MIGHTY OAK
Sr Grace Maria BS(Coordinator XI-XII)
Mighty oaks grow from little acorns and unerringly this is the story of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, known as Bethany Sisters. Bethany Congregation was the greatest dream of RFC Mascarenhas who was a Parish Priest in Bendore, Mangalore, Karnataka, in 1900's. With four lady teachers of his parish, who were committed educationists, he founded the Bethany Congregation, on 16 July 1921 in Mangalore. To know what inspired him to form a
Congregation we must know the then prevailing condition of the society. Education at that time was a distant dream for a common man. Hence, he wanted a group of Sisters who would dedicate

establishing schools in Bathinda and Karnal and social service in Simla at the invitation of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. In 1965 Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana was started under the aegis of the District Commissioner of Ludhiana. Today Bethany has 189 branches spread across the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe. Many corners of our country have been transformed by education and health. Groups of Sisters are engaged in anti-human trafcking movements and reaching out to those inconvenienced by corona virus. Bethany is an acorn grown into a mighty oak.
On 16 July 2021 Bethany stepped into the Centenary Year and a simple function was organized at Mangalore to celebrate the occasion amidst the limitations posed by Covid-19. The Centenary Symphony chimed with gratitude to God for the 99 years of Bethany. Bethany raised its hands in prayers and worship and the Centenary Logo was unveiled by Sr Rose Celine BS, the Superior General of the Congregation along with the Bishop of Mangalore diocese and her team members.
In this background, another batch of students of Sacred Heart has displayed spectacular achievement to their credit. Bethany is global in outlook and so should be the Bethany scholars. Possessing inner goodness and external elegance, they must brighten our country and the world at large.

POSITIVE SIDE OF THE PANDEMIC
-
.
THINGS FALL APART; THE CENTRE CANNOT HOLD;MERE ANARCHY IS LOOSED UPON THE WORLD.
The immortal words of W. B. Yeats have found an exact replication in the ongoing Corona pandemic. The virus has left the whole world stunned, clueless and vulnerable. Perhaps the student community has been among those who have been hit the hardest.
The students, preparing for the challenge of the board and competitive examinations, found that the very nature of the challenge had changed. The curve that ranged from what to write to how to reach the examination hall was frightening indeed. Other students were in the state of similar quandary. All were faced with silent questions in their hearts- Should they despair or is there any light at the end of the tunnel?
The magnitude of the problem was unsettling indeed. Many students had applied for admission to foreign universities; some had been working relentlessly for the past two years to secure seats in prestigious colleges. The aspirations and hopes of many seemed plunged into uncertainty. At this juncture, the values of equanimity and God experience helped them to sustain themselves. These golden values might be abstract in nature but have an invaluable practical application. It is heartening to note that despite the misgivings, most of the students were able to retain an optimistic outlook to the whole situation.
While these problems have been resolved, new questions have emerged. From HERE... WHERE? How soon would it be possible to resume studies at the place of their choice?
Many of these questions have now found concrete solutions. But the dark Corona cloud has not been bereft of many strands of silver lining. Our students learnt the valuable life skills of adjustment and adaptation. In fact, they have shown us the way in coping up with the problem. They may be learners at school but they have proven themselves the masters when it comes to nding new pathways to learning. We have seen creativity blossom in vibrant colours. Many a heart has missed a beat on watching the young actors, artists, chefs and photographers at work. The stunning array of their efforts needs to be seen to be believed. Not farther behind are the upcoming youtubers, bloggers, coders and game designers. Learning has taken a new and welcome dimension.
The best part of the crises is that it has made the students self reliant while the role of teachers has become that of a facilitator.
Above all, the lessons of honesty and ethical behaviour have been put to test with satisfactory results. Life is slowly but surely returning to normal; albeit a new normal. The world of opportunities is beckoning.... and our young geniuses are ready to prove their mettle.
