Teacher Appreciation Week is May 3rd – 7th

We are celebrating our annual teacher and staff appreciation the first week of May. Below is a

daily itinerary of events with suggested ways you can show Griffin teachers and staff the

appreciation they deserve. Participation is optional.

Monday: Have your student bring in Keurig cups or tea to help restock the teachers’ lounge.

Tuesday: Have your student donate their favorite book to stock the teachers’ library.

Wednesday: Have your student bring in classroom supplies. High need items often include:

glue sticks, dry erase markers, highlighters, gel pens, black Sharpie click-top pens, post-it note

and flair pens.

Thursday: Have your student bring in a fresh or artificial flower for teachers and staff.

Friday: Have your student bring in a card, note of thanks or a picture for teachers and staff.

See below for information about Paws of Appreciation

*Paws of Appreciation for our Teachers*

On Friday, May 7th during Teacher Appreciation Week, MGE PTA is encouraging students to

bring in a card, note of thanks or a picture for teachers and staff. Parents can also use the new

Paws of Appreciation link (see below) to express their gratitude to Griffin teachers and staff. Fill

out the google form below and the MGE PTA will turn each message into a “Paw of Apprecia-

tion”. These will be printed out and delivered to teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation

Week. You may send these notes to as many teachers and staff as you would like.
