    progress in developed countries.

    In America, nearly 40 million volunteers render services.

    They provide many extra services that supplements the

    essential functions

    They fall into 2 groups: Hospital volunteers

    Volunteers are high-spirited and service minded people

    They can be of all ages, backgrounds and abilities

    To qualify, a volunteer must posses interest, dependability, and

    physical fitness

    Each of them need to attend orientation session to learn about

    the volunteer programme and the hospital

    Some receive special training for some assignments
