SHOP ASSISTANTS
Shop Assistants are required for the Hope Charity Shop in Bromyard. This can include front of house service as well as back room duties such as sorting through and pricing donations.
HEREFORDSHIRE VISION LINKS
Volunteers are required to provide essential support and information to enable people living with sight loss in Herefordshire to lead independent lives. They are actively recruiting volunteers throughout Herefordshire particularly in Ross and Bromyard. Previous experience of volunteering is not essential as ongoing training, support and supervision will be given.

Typical examples of devices are a window opener, chair raiser, wheelchair adaptation, washing machine opener - all cases where no commercial device exists. All skill levels welcomed.

Brockhampton Estate is looking to recruit a range of volunteers for the 2011 season. Opportunities include Room Guides, Events Assistants, Fund Raisers, Countryside Volunteers and Shop Assistants amongst others.

DRIVERS REQUIRED
Bromyard Community Transport provides a much needed service for people who are disabled, frail or unable to access public transport to help them on essential journeys such as visits to the doctor, optician, dentist and for hospital appointments. It urgently needs more volunteer drivers to keep the service going.
CAFÉ ASSISTANTS
Peterchurch Church Cafe – INSPIRE is looking for volunteers to help out in the Community Cafe to run cafe sessions and serve refreshments.
INFORMATION ASSISTANTS
Money Box Credit Union is looking for a number of Information
Assistants at various village locations who would provide a regular weekly service at which they would explain the scheme to enquirers and help with completing registration forms. They would also collect savings deposits.
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Clehonger Village Hall is looking for a general committee member for meetings four times a year. The committee is currently trying to raise money for new roof solar panels.

The Madley Environmental Centre has 15 acres of diverse woodland and meadows and is seeking volunteers to help with removing debris and invasive plants from its ponds, including coppicing willow trees.

DRIVERS
Hay-dial-a-ride is looking for volunteer drivers to
transport people within a 9 mile radius of Hay for social visits or for medical appointments etc. Volunteers are also required to help elderly or disabled passengers to access the minibus, fasten seat belts and collect fares.
ROYAL WEDDING TEA PARTY
Over 200 children will be celebrating the Royal Wedding on 29 April at a tea party on Castle Green. Help them have a memorable time by erecting and laying the tables, serving drinks and food and then clearing up afterwards.
JOB COACHES
Volunteer Job Coaches are required to support a new employment project helping young
people with learning disabilities prepare for the world of work in and around Hereford and Leominster. Training provided. You will need to have the use of a car
ADMIN HELP Help in the busy office of a day centre for people recovering from head injuries. General office duties including mail outs of monthly newsletter. A community centre is also seeking admin help on Thursdays ranging from photocopying to filing, to taking bookings. Word processing would be also welcomed but volunteers can be trained in these skills at the centre.

ARTS AND CRAFTS
An Arts and Crafts group for people with physical disabilities meets on Mondays 10am - 12.15pm, and could do with some help from volunteers with tasks they cannot manage themselves, like cutting out, opening jars, threading needles. Examples of work being undertaken are making greeting cards, cork pictures and still life painting.

homeless and needy people. The role also includes helping clear up and
making sandwiches for clients to take away, chatting and making visitors welcome. Try a session to see how you like it.

Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust is looking for help on its Community Earth Heritage Champions Project. Volunteers are being sought in Kington and Yarpole to record, maintain and protect important local geological sites. RESOURCE CENTRE ASSISTANT
Teme Valley Youth Project based at Wigmore is looking for a Community Resource Centre Assistant. This role would suit someone looking to gain experience of an office environment and would include answering the phone and welcoming visitors, helping people to use the photocopier, access the internet or just send a fax.
LIONS CLUB Kington Lions Club is looking for new members. Membership involves two
evening meetings per month plus fundraising activities and determining beneficiaries of donations.
PROMOTION AND PUBLICITY How do you see Leominster? Come and help us with the promotion and publicity for Leominster’s new Parish Plan.
RSPB
Interested in conservation and birds and in meeting people?
Come and help the RSPB with their Fundays and Family events at Queenswood, near Leominster. The events take place between April and September.

mental exercises, indoor games, craft and DIY. We would be delighted with any help you can offer us with our committee or with our group or just come and join us.

ROSS JUNIORS FOOTBALL CLUB
An enthusiastic volunteer needed to assist with coaching young footballers aged 6-9, working with existing qualified coaches. This takes place at John Kyrle High School in winter and Ross Rowing Club in summer.
AGE CONCERN Volunteer drivers with own transport needed to take small groups of older or lonely people on outings once a month, evenings or weekends, using their own car or Age Concern’s minibus. Maximum of 16 people in each group.
JUMPSTART To assist the staff members at various playgroup sessions in and around the Ross, Hereford and Ledbury area. Make tea and coffee, keep an eye on front door and mix with parents. Also help with loading and unloading van of equipment used at the sessions. Volunteers can cover a particular session or various sessions.
BRAMPTON ABBOTTS PRIMARY SCHOOL
The school needs volunteers to help with hearing children read in the classroom. Fluent reader, interest in children, enjoyment of books.
