On Thursday May 10, thousands of bicyclists are expected to participate in the 23rd Annual Bike to Work Day Bay Area, part of National Bike Month.

More than one million Bay Area residents live within five miles of their workplace, an ideal distance for bicycling. According to the 2013 American Community Survey, over 62,000 Bay Area residents use a bicycle as their primary means of getting to work every day. Bike to Work Day is the perfect day to try it. Combining cycling with transit is the perfect solution for longer trips or commutes.

More than 90 Energizer Stations in Santa Clara County and 40 stations in San Mateo County will give people on bikes a chance to stop and get a snack, a tote bag, goodies, and a few words of encouragement.

APRIL SERVICE CHANGES

The following service changes will take effect on Monday, April 9, 2018:

Lines 57/60: Buses will no longer operate into Mission College on Sundays. The timepoint will be removed from schedules; buses will still stop at the intersection of Great America Pkwy and Mission College Blvd. Line 185: Due to passenger requests, the 7:21 a.m. northbound trip leaving Gilroy will instead leave at 7:37 a.m., and the 6:06 p.m. southbound trip leaving San Antonio & Casey will instead leave at 5:47 p.m.

Minor weekday schedule changes will be made on the following routes: 22, 32, 35, 48, 49, 57, 60 and 70.

El lunes, 9 de abril de 2018 entrarán en vigencia los siguientes cambios en los servicios:

Líneas 57/60: Los autobuses ya no ofrecerán servicio en Mission College los domingos. El punto de parada con horario se eliminará de los recorridos; los autobuses pararán en la intersección de Great America Pkwy y Mission College Blvd. Línea 185: Debido a solicitudes de los pasajeros, el viaje que ahora sale a las 7:21 a.m. desde Gilroy con rumbo al norte saldrá a las 7:37 a.m., y el viaje que ahora sale a las 6:06 p.m. desde San Antonio & Casey con rumbo al sur saldrá a las 5:47 p.m.
