I use the words “Please” and “Thank you”. How nice I am; I try to be kind. I wait for my turn and stay in line. How nice I am; I’ve learnt to be. My Mother’s Garden
Winter’s nearly here
With its icy cold winds And thus begins my mother’s
Ploughing, watering all the plants in need Every year I watch
A pip grow into a pretty flower To see the dahlia’s bright red in the morn
And blue MOON’S mild purple at night Thought the work is hard The hard work pays off
When you see your flower bloom From a seedling into dandy flower As much as they bring happiness
They also bring sorrow Winter comes to an end and
They say their farewell and go
With a promise to come back again In another year, another season, another time.
Aarushi Class X C
The Two Unknown
They were Strangers with Memories
And again, the paths crossed But now, this tore the two within.
All the laughter shed as tears, Well yes, the past did have a story.
The years gone by, A new life awaited its turn.
Steps so fresh, Couldn’t get any better.
Only if they knew, Forever was always just a word.
Looking into the eyes, All that was said, wish Maybe true it could get. Nothing lasts, is the end
Memories reside down the lane. Do I know you? The lips asked,
The heart knew it’s a lie, The eyes couldn’t hide it.
Here we are, counting mistakes Realizations are far sighted.
Well, one remains forever, That forever is always a word.
SINCHAN CHATERJEE XB
STUDENT TO TEACHER
Dear Teacher, I am raw I know you’ll refine me.
When I feel low, Do stand by me to cheer me.
When I face the blues, Change the situation for me.
When I am lost, Hold my fingers and guide me.
Accept me the way I am, Let me grow the way I can.
Mrs. Arti Singh
THE UNBORN
A gamut of emotions, Transcend into thoughts; Which were buried deep
In the abyss of nothingness. Oblivion to the shackles of the world
My heart skipped a beat; Lurking for acceptance in my mother’s womb,
I never knew if I had a journey to the soiled tomb.
The urge to find my true essence I broke down to mark my presence
The labyrinth of tangled desires Clutched my soul and set it on fire…
What I needed was just a chance To prove myself and maintain my stance. I never got a chance to enter this world
Although I was God sent but, My wishes were unheard.
No matter how much the society suppresses me, My power to strive will set my soul free.
Mrs. Drishty Chaudhary
