PCDSPCDS
Power Controlling Distribution System, PCDS for short, was designed and developed by Clever
company in 2001.
PCDS is formed by Power Generatrix Distribution System (PGDS), Power Controlling System
Module (PCSM) and Power Distribution Unit Module (PDUM).
PCDS Characteristics
1. PGDS general wiring, the max load can reach 3 32A;
2. PCSM has master air circuit breaker function, can automatically alarm when overload,
CPDU (Computer Monitor Power Distribute Unit) and NPM (Network Power Manager)
function, etc.
3. PDUM has different standard sockets all over the world;
4. PCDS can change and add the PDUM in uninterrupted operation;
5. PCDS can be matched with different PCSM and PDUM according to customers'
different technical requirement;
6. Each PCDS can be configured 6 group PDUM at most according to customers'
technical requirement;
7. Power input connecting terminal box is convenient for customers to mount and debug
on job site;
8. PCDS is vertically mounted in cabinet and the mounting method is very easy, which
can save space to the utmost extent.

Network Power Manager (NPM) which is developed and produced by Clever, is the world-advance new generation
network managing power distribution and monitoring device.
The governor can monitor, control and manage many pieces of equipments through LAN or WAN in the cabinet of
data room located all over the world.
4.3. NPM Module Introduction
Monitoring Function
The total load current;
The operating state of NPM system;
The state of temperature/humidity;
The state of smog or water logging;
The state of cabinet door.
Alarming Function
1. User-defined alarm
The Min/Max limiting value of total load current;
The Min/Max limiting value of temperature /humidity.
2. System default alarm
The total load current exceeds rating value;
System goes wrong;
Smog;
Water-logging;
Door opening.
3. Alarming method
The indicator of NPM controlling panel flashes and
the buzzer alarms.
The indicator on the Web interface flashes and the
buzzer alarms.
Automatically send E-mail to system administrator.
SNMP sends alarm information.
Daisy-chain Function
Support NPM daisy-chain and daisy-chain 10pcs NPM at
most by radial link method.
Log Record
Record and save the operation information of NPM, provide
the query and output of records.

Main Functions
1. Through PC, timely monitors the total load current
of PCDS by visiting the hyper terminal.
2. Timely displays the total load current of PCDS
through The digital alternating current ammeter.
3. Timely monitor the load current of 32 pcs CPDU
at most.
4. Rating voltage: 125/250VAC 50/60HZ; Rating load
current: 16A, 32A.
Monitoring Methods
1. The governor can monitor the total load current of
the PCDS through the digital alternating current
ammeter on CPDU panel.
2. The governor can monitor the load current of PCDS
on the PC's interface through the hyper terminal.
4.4. CPDU Module Introduction
Computer Monitored Power Distribution Unit - CPDU
CPDU module is a kind of PCSM (Power Controlling System Module) which can timely monitor the total load current
of the PCDS through PC's hyper terminal when the PC (or other equipments with serial port) is connected with RJ45
port based on the telecom technology of the computer's serial port.

1. Address code (can be set by the governor)

3. State of the load current (Normal or Abnormal)

Connection
1. CPDU can be connected to PC with RS-232 or
RS485 serial port.
2. When the load current of several CPDU is to be
monitored through a PC at the same time, a hub
can be applied.

when CPDU is connected with other equipments
with serial port.
