H IFZ S TUDENTS 24 HR T IME His time must be utilized wisely. Follow the time table which is made by our Madrasah or make your own time table and stick to it. Childs 16 hours out of 24 hours are spent at home. There should be a fix time for each work (task) and a fixed work (task) for each minute. H IFZ In order to make a child Hafiz Successfully, parents have to comprehend the process of Hifz. Effort is required from three sidesthe child, parents, and the teacher/Molana. Take genuine interest in your childs Hifz (behind every successful man there is a successful lady). Parents are only helpers of their child. First thing parents have to do is to make Dua for your child; Parents Dua for their child is always accepted. R ESPECT Drill respect into their minds Respect of: Teacher/Molana Masjid Quran Islamic books And all the means and medium of the sacred knowledge Read the Book regarding the virtues (Fazail) Quran H IFZ C OURSE The course of Hifz consists of three factors: Sabaq, Sabaq Para and Dour. 1. Sabaq (New lesson) Sabaq Must be learnt in the evening and then memorized in the morning at home. The Holy Quran cannot be memorized in a place of distraction, Hifz students should set up a place where there are no distractions. Parents must test his Sabaq before coming to Madrasah. Sabaq must be said before a specific time and only two mistakes are allowed in it. Reasons for not getting sabaq 1.if child did not know his sabaq para 2. if child did not know his revision 3. if childs over all revision is weak We listen to their revision first than sabaq para, if he knows both of them only than he is allowed to read his sabaq to his Muallim Do not force your child for more sabaq let him go with his natural pace Do not over emphasize the sabaq, they only care about sabaq H IFZ C OURSE 2. Sabaq Para (revision of most recent Sabaq) Sabaq Para must be learnt in the evening at home. The day Sabaq Para is weak, next day child has to say Sabaq Para before saying his Sabaq. Method of memorizing sabaq para (refer to planner) 3. Dour (revision of memorized Paras/Juz) Dour must be learnt in the evening at home. Dour must be perfect, child is allowed to make maximum 2 mistakes in each quarter. The day Dour is weak, next day child has to say his Dour before saying his Sabaq. If the memorized Paras/Juz become weak than Sabaq will be stopped and his Dour will be evaluated until it becomes perfect. Child has to learn his Sabaq, Sabaq Para and Dour at home. Class time cannot be used to learn them. H IFZ C OURSE Make your child listen/download the Quran from internet (visitIt is compulsory to spend minimum 2 consecutive Hours in the evening with only 5 minutes break after 1 hour. Do not pay your full attention to Sabaq only. Sabaq, Sabaq Para, and Dour go hand in hand. Do not give instruction contrary to his teachers instruction e.g. forcing him to learn sabaq etc. Do not force him to memorize the Sabaq more than his ability. Do not tell him to take his time to complete his hifz. On average child takes 4-5 years to complete his Hifz. H IFZ C OURSE The Quran comes through piety not only through cleverness, so make him pray his five times daily Salaah. Tell him the biography of our pious predecessors. Provide the Islamic environment in the house. Parents must also practise Islam (e.g. Daily salaah, all the Sunnah of our beloved Nabi Sallallhau Alaihi Wasallam, and read the Quran daily even if it is a little). Daily agenda Make your child responsible/accountable for his daily work; if he has not completed his work any day, take a serious notice. G ENERAL G UIDELINES Please come to speak with your childs teacher often. Make sure to come for Parent/Teacher interviews. Never tell the teacher to discipline your child illegally. Life after Hifz Hifz competition. END (Jazakumullah for your presence) Q & A
