“Name Art” Learning Objective: Students will create a personal name plate by finding the letters in their name in magazines, newspapers, or stickers. English Language Arts Standard:

• K.WF.1a: Match upper and lowercase manuscript letters. ________________________________________________________________________________ Directions: You will be making a name plate.  For this assignment you will need scissors, glue, and a

magazine, newspaper, something you can cut letters out of, or letter stickers. 

• Cut the bottom part (along the dotted line) of this paper off as this will be the paper you are

gluing to. • Look through a magazine or newspaper and cut out the letters for your name.  Remember that

your name begins with a capital letter.  • Glue the letters onto the bottom part of this paper that you cut off in step one to create your

name. • You may also cut out pictures or words that describe you and glue them onto the paper as well

(please do not cover your name).  Here is an example of a finished name plate:

Learning Objective: Students will be able to understand how the rules of social distancing keep us healthy by discussing the importance of wearing a mask, washing our hands, staying 6 ft apart and disinfecting surfaces when germs are everywhere.
