Aims & Objectives The Waste to Wealth project aims at dramatically improve the waste

management arena and provide a novel and sustainable model for addressing both the needs of the society in terms of waste management and access to resources, as well as tackle certain aspects of modern urban poverty and social distress.

Planned activities

1) develop small equipped mobile units that could allow selective collection/recycling

2) exploit bio-mas & exhausted oil for energy generation

3) develop a facility for the re-use of resources recovered throughout recycling

4) develop facilities for reconditioning recovered appliances

5) develop small facilities to produce fully electrical cars from recuperated secondary resources

Expected Outcomes

1) address a major environmental issue (waste management)

2) better the conditions of people living in disadvantaged areas

3) allow recovering significant resources (copper, aluminium, glass, plastic, paper, wood pellets, compost, appliances, equipment exhausted oils and batteries that can be re-conditioned, material for bio-mas and composting)

4) generate a local integrated eco-system where waste is turned both into a resource and a source of work

5) prove that electrical cars and recuperated resources are a viable approach for addressing several socio-economic problems including work scarcity.

Site parcelling and recuperation phases progression.Equipment and facilities will be progressively relocated during the various phases until completion is reached.

Gas collection and power distribution is shown not in scale but in terms of principle. Directional drilling will be used to place the gas collection pipes and capture devices along with temporary covering so as to ensure maximum harvesting of bio-gas present and at the same time minimise neighbourhood disturbance

Equipment and offices will move close to the new parcel to process while resting on recuperated land
