Christmas Christmas is my favourite time of year
When everyone is full of cheer
The trees are pretty tall and decorated with tinsel and lights
Everyone dressed up warm with hats, gloves and sparkly tights
The evenings get darker and the sky turns white
Snow falls from the sky all clean and bright
We play in the garden and build a snowman
We ride our bright red sledges as fast as we can
When Christmas eve arrives we are all super excited
We leave a big fat carrot for Rudolph, so he’ll leave delighted
We hope Santa brings us what we truly asked him for
A selection box, some books and maybe a little more
Christmas day breakfast is egg, bacon and sausage
After opening presents we head to Grandma and Grandad’s cottage
A day full of games and having lots of fun
Seeing all my family not just my Sister, Dad and Mum
I love playing fish, fruit and flower also
I like playing the chocolate game
Although Mummy always wins – every year is the same
I always think to myself I hope this day will never end
Then Boxing day comes and the fun starts all over again

The Christmas Elf
Jingle Christingle was huddled up in bed, He snored rather loudly, but nobody ever said.
The little elf (who was rather polite) was sleeping soundly all through the night.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to him,
Santa! He rushed to the door, missing the sleigh take off sounded horribly grim.
Jingle Christingle just made it on time, The sleigh flew off and Santa was fine.
A feeling hit Jingle like he had forgotten something,
Then he saw a blue parcel wrapped up in string. It was the present for little Timmy Sims,
As quick as a flash Jingle ran for his things.
Jingle grabbed the present and ran to the mini-jet, Whether he would make it or not was a tricky bet.
He soared through the skies at top speed, He got close up, but the house numbers he did not read.
A red fast sleigh flew past Jingle’s ear,
He could tell (by the reindeer) that Santa was here. Within five seconds Jingle was near the sleigh, He threw the parcel and it landed softly……..

Countdown to Christmas
5 days ‘till Christmas,
Frost in the air,
It’s so exciting,
I can hardly bear!
4 days ‘till Christmas,
Presents are all bought,
Thinking of my gifts,
It’s a brilliant thought!
3 days ‘till Christmas,
The turkey’s in the fridge,
When it’s been used,
I’ll put it in a sandwich!
2 days ‘till Christmas,
Digging out my stocking,
Dreaming about snow,
Hoping Santa will come knocking!
1 day ‘till Christmas,
Staying up all night,
Hoping Christmas will be white!

Vampire Santa
On Christmas eve,
Santa is getting ready to take presents.
Santa gets his hat blown away,
He has to figure out how to get it back.
Reindeers fly to the South pole and find Santa’s hat
on a penguin.

Christmas, Christmas, everywhere
Christmas is a time to share,
To share the magic everywhere,
To eat mince pies,
To drink hot choc,
To hear the carols everywhere.
Christmas is a time to sing,
To find the song in everything,
To adorn trees,
To open gifts,
To see the sun in everything.

A Happy Christmas
Once upon a time there was a little boy called Jake
who was 4 and had an older sister called Sophie
who was 11. On the night before Christmas Eve,
Jake and Sophie were putting the Christmas
decorations on the tree, Mum and Dad helped as
well. They were singing it’s nearly Christmas day
over and over again until it was night time and in
the morning they got out of bed and shouted to-
morrow it’s Christmas! They were finishing putting
up the decorations all day, before they knew it, it
was night time again. They put some biscuits out
for Santa and some milk out for Santa and lots of
carrots for the reindeers Ralph and Rudolf. Santa
came down the Chimney and put some presents
underneath the Christmas tree and in their
Stockings.
Charlie, Year 2, Ackworth Mill Dam
Sophie and Jake woke up and saw Santa and Santa
saw Jake and Sophie and said “don’t tell anyone
you saw me or everyone will think you’re crazy.
Everyone woke up and went downstairs and
opened their presents, even every Mum and Dad.
At night everyone invited all Aunties and Uncles
and Cousins and Nephews and Grandmas and last
but not least the Grandads. They all lived happily
ever after.
