Dear WACA Members & Friends My goodness how quickly the days goes by. It is hard to imagine that it will soon be time for our June Workshop scheduled to take place in Lander on June 20th and 21st. Our theme is “Sharing the Light”, the word Light represents knowledge and by sharing our light we are passing our knowledge on, one to another. It has been said “If you have knowledge let others light their candles at it.” And that is exactly what you will have the opportunity to do at our June Workshop. I have seen a lot of outlines for various workshops but I don’t know if I have ever seen so many talented people all coming together. I would definitely encourage you to plan ahead and clear your calendar so that you will not miss the opportunity to light your candle with the knowledge from the wonderful professionals who will be presenting to us. As always the information presented in this workshop is very adaptable and is appropriate for Activity Professionals in all levels of care rather you work in a skilled nursing facility, an assisted living facility, a rehab hospital, etc. We are pleased to announce that the recipients of the Scott Haycock Memorial Scholarship for this workshop are an "Activity Assistant" at Sublette Center in Pinedale and Rusty Owens at Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin. It is never too early to start thinking about sending in your nomination letters for the various award categories to recognize those special people who support us in our journey to provide QUALITY in the lives of those men and women we have the opportunity to serve. Please see the enclosed information from Kathleen King and Dawn Benson our Awards Chair People for the different categories and directions to submit your nominations. We will once again be having our Silent Auction and our 50 / 50 Raffle both of which benefit the WACA education fund. If you are able to provide an item for the Silent Auction it would be greatly appreciated, and don't forget to bring a few extra dollars to try your luck at the 50/50 Raffle I look forward to seeing everyone in Lander on June 20th and 21st. May God Bless You All With Safe Travels. Connie Cudney, ADCWACA President
