La nuova scheda di rete 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet a 32 bit di Atlantis Land, garantisce prestazioni Gigabit, eliminando così i colli di bottiglia. E’ compatibile con le reti 10/100 già esistenti, garantendo la possibilità di passare da reti Ethernet e/o Fast Ethernet alle ben più performanti reti Gigabit Ethernet.L’installazione è di tipo Plug-and-Play: basta semplicemente inserire la scheda nel PC perché venga automaticamente confi gurata dal com-puter. Non dovrete nemmeno preoccuparvi della tipologia di cavi utilizzata, la scheda si adatterà automaticamente tanto ai cavi dritti che incrociati.Supporta la modalità Full Duplex per scambiare dati fi no ad una velocità di 2000Mbps ed inoltre il capiente (72Kbyte) buffer di tipo FIFO riduce i rischi relativi ad un sovraccarico di memoria nei trasferimenti di dati. Il controllo di fl usso infi ne consente l’utilizzo ottimale delle risorse evitando che si arrivi alla congestione della rete. Include le più nuove tecnologie, come il supporto per il multicast (che consente un uso più razionale delle risorse ) e per le VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q).L’integrazione delle funzionalità IP/TCP Checksum Offl oad consente di massimizzare il throughput alleggerendo il lavoro della CPU.Completano le caratteristiche il supporto Wake on LAN (su PCI2.2) per il remote wake-up (AMD Magic Packet, Re-LinkOk e Microsoft® Wake-up frame) sia in ACPI che APM (Advanced Power Management) ed il supporto ai Jumbo frames (sino a 7K) per massimizzare il trasferimento dati..
