Wales is a country

The Treaty of Union is the
name given to the
agreement that led to the
creation of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain the
political union of the
Kingdom of England, which
included Wales and
Scotland, which took effect
on 1 May 1707

Dragon meant leader, warrior, and denoted bravery.
The daffodil (Narcissus) is the national flower of
Wales, and is worn on St David's Day each 1 March.
The leek is also a national emblem of Wales.

THE ROMANS Wales was part of the Roman Empire for over
300 years.
During that era Roman habits and culture won widespread acceptance in much of the country. Yet, unlike in most of Western Europe, the Latin of the Romans did not replace the native language of the people
In Wales, there is little evidence of Viking settlements, although some places, among them Anglesey, Swansea and Fishguard, were given Scandinavian names.
They introduced monasticism, the notion that the best path to holiness is to retire from the world and live in a community dedicated to prayer.
Saint David and St David's
The monks of the following century, AD 500 to 600, were less erudite and more ascetic.
David, the best known of them, was a vegetarian.
The Normans and the Church
They considered control over the Welsh church to be essential to their power in Wales.
They built a lot of castle too

was a European royal house of Welsh
origin
Its first monarch was Henry VII,
Linear castles were constructed when concentric castles weren't a practical option, and the Normans would build structures designed to direct the enemy's fire.
Wales has a history of folk music related to the Celtic music of countries such as Ireland and Scotland.

10. The Seven Wonders of Wales is a list of seven geographic and cultural landmarks . All in North Wales, the “wonders” are: Snowdon (the highest mountain), the Gresford Bells (the bells in the medieval church of All Saints at Gresford), St. Winifred´s Well, Llangollen Bridge in Flintshire, the Wrexham (Wrecsam) Steeple, the Overton Yew trees and Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall.
