Become a sponsored walker.Simply put, a sponsored walker is anyone who raises money for the Walk for Life. Ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers or Sunday School class to sponsor you as you walk for LIFE. Every contribution makes a difference!

Build a team.A team is a group of at least five sponsored walkers who have a similar passion, profession or interest … and a fun way to get involved in the Walk for Life! Choose a name, set a goal and join the competition! How much will your team raise this year?

Not part of a team? No problem – you can also participate individually. It’s up to you!

raise funds for life!With your help, we can reach the goal of raising $250,000 through the Walk for Life 2012!

To help reach these goals, we need at least 1,000 sponsored walkers and 40 teams. More sponsored walkers = more ministry!

How Do I geT sTaRTeD?

Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater is a Christ-centered organization serving mothers and their babies in four locations across South Hampton Roads. Your participation in the Walk for Life helps provide the critical support needed to maintain CPC’s medical clinics in Norfolk and Virginia Beach as well as assist with the vital, on-going work of two satellite re-source centers in Portsmouth and Suffolk.

The funds you raise help provide confidential services at no cost to our clients, including ultrasounds, medical consultations, pregnancy tests, crisis counseling, prenatal vitamins, parenting education, community referrals, abortion recovery ministry, sharing the Gospel and much more!

RegistRation:All participants must be registered prior to Walk day. You may register online at www.cpcfriends.org or by using a Walk for Life 2012 Fundraising Form. there will be no Walk day registration.

Zoo location only:As a registered walker, your first sponsored donation on your fundraising form is your FREE ENTRANCE into the zoo. Each guest is an additional $5 donation. Children 2 and under are free!

Do i neeD to RegisteR befoRe the Walk?Yes! All participants must be registered prior to Walk day. You may reg-ister online at www.cpcfriends.org or with a fundraising form. there will be no Walk day registration this year.

What Do i Do With money i collecteD?We do everything we can do make the Walk for Life fun and hassle-free. Sponsors can give in three ways: online, provide a check or cash to you, or pledge.

- At the Walk, turn in your fundraising form(s) and print-outs of your online fundraising forms and we will collect all those marked BILL ME through the mail. Please be sure to list their complete mailing address, city, state and zip code, and we will gladly send them a pledge statement and return envelope after the Walk.

- If your sponsor chooses to pay you directly, mark CASH or CHECK, and also note if a receipt is requested.

All donations are “flat” amounts – there is no per-mile pledge – and all gifts are tax deductible.

Which Walk event shoulD i attenD?Choose the most convenient location and date for you and your family.

hoW faR is the Walk?There is no set distance for our leisurely stroll – walk as far as you’d like!

What if it Rains?Rain or shine, we’re Walking for Life! If the weather looks like rain, please bring an umbrella or poncho.

aRe theRe incentives?Yes! As a heartfelt thanks for your efforts on behalf of CPC, we offer mul-tiple incentive levels, as well as special honors for Top Walker, Top Team, Top Church and Top School. This year’s incentives include:
