Walkathon Raffle Fun
On October 28th at Aquinas Institute we had our annual Walkathon Fundraiser. Friends, family, and teachers were welcome. We had themed baskets for each class and the students brought stuff in for the baskets. There was a movie basket, a beach basket, two Christmas baskets,
an Adventure Landing basket, a golf basket, a scratch off basket, an arts and crafts basket, and more! When you bought the tickets you got a number and you would write your phone number on the tickets. If you were picked, you won a prize!

Walkathon, Many Station Fun There was not just walking at the Walkathon. There
were different stations at the Walkathon. You could get
your face painted with awesome stencils at the face
painting station. There was also a bounce house station.
There was a photo booth with awesome props. There
were also tattoos that you could do yourself if you
wanted to. The stations were excellent! H. Rimkus

Walkathon Raffle Fun
continued
We hope that everyone had a fun time at this year’s Walkathon. It was great seeing all the St. Lawrence
families and community support our amazing school. A lot of enthusiasm was brought to the event! The money raised for the Walkathon provides financial support to upgrade technology in the school, and funding for field trips, school building maintenance, upgrades for classroom enhancements, and so much more. On the day of the walk-a-thon we raised $3,500 for just selling raffle tickets. Some noteworthy winners….The T.V. was won by Hailey Bennett and Gavin Grillo won Principal for the day.
Congratulations to all of the winners! A. Wegman

Halloween
dress-up FUN For Halloween, we were allowed to dress up in
costumes from Pre-K to Fifth Grade. Most classes
had parties! They can be big or small. For third
grade we had pumpkin bowling as an activity. The
teachers had a secret dress up and it
was...Emoji's! So, every teacher was an Emoji. I
thought the teachers looked great. Popular
costumes were superheroes, cats, and skeletons.
It was so fun! I wonder what next Halloween will
be like? L. Weidert

POST Quarter 1 Edition Sept.-Nov. SECTION D Advice
Q) I am in 5th grade and I am
going to a school away from my
friends. How can I make new friends
and still stay in contact with my old
friends?
A) We know how you feel. Mak-
ing new friends is not a piece of cake.
It's hard to find someone who you
can call your true friend. You can
make new friends by seeing who is in
your classes and who you see around
the halls. You can stay in contact with
your friends by sleepovers or tech-
nology. The type of technology you
can use is texting, calling, E-mail, or
facetime. Good luck to you, from the
Advice Columnists.

ADVICE
Q) Me and my friend get into fights
sometimes. I do not want to take any-
one's side because the other person
might get mad at me. What do I do?
A) You might want to ask a trusted
adult to help. You can have lunch-bunch
with Mrs. Riedman. Make sure to tell the
person to stop fighting with you and to
be a good friend by being kind towards
that person.
