Winter is still all around us, but we are definitely ready for spring to be
here. With the weather changing daily, please be awareness the
temperatures as your children come to school.
All students and staff have been busy working toward the goals in each
classroom. Grades 3-6 are busy preparing for the yearly state exams.
Our 6th grade girls basketball teams brought home both Championship
trophies from the LavIlle Tournament. All girls played very well in
winning these games. The fifth grade continues to improve and will
play in the North Liberty Tournament on Saturday, March 2nd.
Once again, Mrs. Maria Knowlton did an outstanding job putting
together our Science Fair. Congratulations to all who will be moving
on to the regional competition at Notre Dame.
Our Fun Fair is quickly approaching. This year we will be focusing
more on the games for the students and not too much on raffles. More
information will be coming after Spring Break.
Be sure to look through this newsletter for more exciting news and
upcoming events.

WES Spring Music Program:
Making Harmony
Grades 1-3
When: Thursday, March 14 at 7:00 PM
Where: WES Gym
Come out and watch our first, second, and third grade classes as they present their
spring program, “Making Harmony.”
Our program will feature music from faraway places like Morocco, Ghana, Peru,
and the Caribbean Islands as well as songs from right here in the United States.
We hope to see you there!
If you have friends or family who cannot attend the concert, but have Internet
access, a livestream of the concert will be viewable at the following link:

A Note for Families of Performers (Grades 1-3):
Please plan to drop your student off in his or her classroom no later than
6:45 PM so that each class can line up together. We ask that you plan to pick up your student by his or her classroom after
the concert. Students should look their best for our performance! We’ve talked about
how we are proud of our work and dressing nicely helps us to feel better and
do our best singing. Please have your student wear a nice outfit, i.e.
something they would wear for church or a special occasion.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
