BRITTANY: THE GRANITE COAST
A colourful walk through the heart of Brittany; pink granite rocks sculpted by the wind and tides,
pristine white sandy beaches and a turquoise sea together form an amazingly vibrant landscape.
The Cote de Granit Rose (pink granite coast) runs from Plestin-les-Greves to Louannec in the Cotes
d'Armor region of Brittany and is one of the most outstanding coastlines in Europe. This thirty kilometre
stretch of rocky coast has an incredible pink colour edge, complimented by turquoise sea and white sandy
beaches.
Your holiday begins in Lannion; a historic town located on the estuary of the River Léguer which has
stunning panoramic views. Your walk then takes you to Trèbeurden, Perros-Guirec, Pointe du Cháteau and
finally Brèhat; a small island affectionately known as the 'Island of Flowers'. Throughout the trail you will find
purple heather, blue flax flowers and golden boom flowers. Brittany is also full of local specialties but it is,
above all, well known for its beautiful seafood and pancakes and when it comes to drinks you must sample
Brittany’s cider which is typically served with pancakes and crèpes. Brittany is the second largest cider
producing region in France and renowned for its full bodied, sweet ciders.
Your holiday is a 6 day and 6 night itinerary, which incorporates 6 days of easy to moderate walking. You
will be staying in traditional hotels with 6 delicious breakfast and 4 evening meals, luggage transport
throughout and people transfers on days 1, 5 and 6, a detailed information pack complete with route notes,
