A DELIGHTFUL COUNTRy HOUSE WITH GRASSLAND
FARM SET IN THE BEAUTIFUL SHROPSHIRE HILLS
WALTON HALLWalton Hall is a unique and majestic farmhouse, situated in a
fabulous rural location amongst the rolling Shropshire countryside.
The property is believed to date back to the 15th Century, with later
additions. Being Grade II* listed, the house is full of characterful
features, such as inglenook fireplaces, exposed beamed ceilings and
beautiful oak floorboards.
The accommodation is both spacious and flexible, with a large dining
hall, a kitchen/breakfast room, with beautiful views and doors out to
the south-east facing garden terrace, and a sitting room.
A pantry, cloak and shower room, together with a utility room
completes the ground floor accommodation. Steps lead from the hall
down to a useful cellar.
Stairs rise either from the hall or the kitchen to the first floor landing,
where there are four double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a
vaulted ceiling with original exposed timbers, built in cupboards and
windows with views over the gardens and countryside beyond. This
room has an en-suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are served
by the family bathroom, which has a laundry room adjacent. Also on
the first floor is a study/dressing room.
SITUATIONWalton Hall is situated 2 miles distant of the village of Worthen, which
has a good range of amenities including a Londis convenience store, a
village hall, Doctor’s surgery and a primary school. There is also a bus
service to Shrewsbury.
The County Town of Shrewsbury (13 miles) has an excellent variety
of shops, restaurants and leisure and educational facilities including
Shrewsbury High School for Girls and Shrewsbury School, as well as a
number of other schools within the area. The Shropshire Hills, to the
south of Worthen, allow various outside pursuits including walking
and mountain biking.
There are good road links to Chester and the North West, with access
to the M54 and the motorway network via Shrewsbury. Rail services
are available at Welshpool and Shrewsbury with airports at Liverpool,
Manchester and Birmingham.

seasonal wild flowers.
A drive leads from the lane to a large gravelled courtyard, which
provides parking, as well as carports and garaging for a number
of vehicles. There are a variety of outbuildings, including a large
workshop/store and a former granary, which has been partly
