WHY WOULD A CBI WARM UP PROGRAM HELP MY WORKFORCE?

WHERE CBI’S WARM UP FOR WORK PROGRAM WORKS WELL

HOW IT WORKS

WARM UP FOR WORK

Workers engage in interactive group exercise education sessions specific to their tasks that demonstrate how to reduce sprain and strain risk through warming up. The program also includes education modules addressing stretching, strengthening and back care. Warm Up For Work is aimed at achieving sustained behavioural and organisational change.

Part 1: Initial task observations

Part 2: Onsite education sessions in the form of a quarterly visit

• Day 1: Education module and exercise routine instruction

• Day 2: Interactive group exercise demonstration

Part 3: Train the Trainer Education and Assessment

Part 4: Onsite resources and posters to maintain change

Part 5: Reporting and feedback

Part 6. Quarterly visit and refresher sessions where CBI health professionals watch the trainers to ensure correct techniques are recommended

• Increased physical and mental readiness to perform at work

• Improved knowledge around injury risk factors and prevention of sprains and strains

• Employees can apply the information learned not only at work, but at home

• Lower risk of workplace strains and sprains

• Improved employee education and ownership around injury management and prevention

• Better employee morale and workplace culture through regular group Warm Up sessions, facilitated internally
